Not Truly All-Inclusive – Disappointing Experience
The resort itself is beautiful, but my experience was disappointing overall. Despite being advertised as all-inclusive, it felt far from it. Practically every amenity came with an upcharge or required an upgrade. The biggest frustration was the dining situation—getting into any of the restaurants was impossible without a reservation, which defeats the convenience you expect from an all-inclusive stay. Plan on eating lots of meals at the buffet because that will be your only option most of the time. If you’re looking for a truly all-inclusive resort, I recommend continuing your search elsewhere. This one was not as advertised and did not meet my expectations.

Amazing Resort!
The Paradius Grand Punta Cana, is completely beautiful. The aesthetics of the resort are breathtaking. The staff were completely amazing. I enjoyed my stay there so much that before we left we booked our next vacation at this venue before we left. The front desk concierge Thania, went out of her way every day every hour of the day to make sure that my family had the absolute best time at that resort! She literally waited on us hand and foot she made us feel as if we were her only family that she was currently taken care of. There was nothing that I needed to do the arrangements that I needed to make because she made them all every hour every day for five days! It is because of her that that we decided to return to this resort for spring break. Thank you Thania for working tirelessly every day to make this Christmas vacation for my family spectacular!!!

Horrible Food
If you want to eat good or even just have hot food, pick somewhere else. The buffet gives variety so you don’t starve. While the staff is friendly and the rooms are clean it’s not good if you can’t enjoy a meal. Also if alcohol quality matters to you, you won’t enjoy the trip unless you upgrade to the pricier package.

A good place for families with young children...
We stayed here- two adults and two kids (12 and 14) over the Thanksgiving holiday, 2024. There are many good things about this resort! For background, I am not really an "all inclusive" traveler - but we thought it would be a fun 3 night getaway for the kids considering their ages. I personally would not travel here for a couples trip as it is a family resort. Pros- We had an inner circle swim out suite and it was wonderful. The suite was large and clean and having the private loungers to ourselves as well as the pool right out the back door was amazing. My kids loved it and I loved it. I am not sure I would rate this resort so high without that feature. The main pool looked crowded all the time, but we never used it so it didn't matter to us. Family concierge - we had Carolina and she was absolutely lovely. She helped us with many things while we were there and made the stay easier. Beach- we had little seaweed when there and there were plenty of beach chairs in the concierge section and plenty of shade. Another feature that we would not have known about without Carolina is that you could rent kayaks, paddle boards, and other non motorized water items down at the opposite end of the beach from our seating by showing our wristbands. This is not marketed- but the Melia resorts span a large area of the beach and you can use the features in any of them. I doubt the chairs, but that's fine. We also had beach service for drinks which was fun. We didn't at all mind the golf cart shuttle to the beach. It was no big deal. Property- The property was beautiful and well maintained for an older resort Staff- Pretty much everyone we encountered was very friendly and helpful. Super nice. Some reviews mentioned rude staff but this was not at all our experience. Everyone was VERY nice! Our room was always stocked with everything we asked for with no issues (extra waters, towels, snacks, etc.) Honestly- the staff in the buffet was so friendly and they were dealing with insanity the time we were there with families allowing their little kids to climb the book shelves and plant shelves IN the restaurant with drunk(?) parents looking on and doing nothing. I felt so bad because I am sure they are told that they can't say anything about ridiculous behavior...but it was hard for them to do their jobs with the chaos. It was the epitome of "Ugly American" for sure. Embarrassing. Cons- The food. It just wasn't so good. I had low expectations from the reviews I read- but unfortunately the exceptions were met and then some. We figured out that the main breakfast buffet was better than the concierge sit down breakfast and finally went there on the last day. No one starved, but the quality of the food was really poor. Room service food was actually totally inedible though- and we tried a few times. Too many things sitting out in the hot sun for hours or just sort of gross. My kids said that the burger at the beach restaurant was good. And I had a good salad at the steakhouse (but the steaks were inedible). We always had reservations through Carolina but the last night we just went to the buffet after giving up on the sit down restaurants. And I realllllly don't care for buffets if that tells you anything. lol I don't normally do an all inclusive so I don't know if these places are normally this terrible or not. The room noise.- Our suite was beautiful- but there was an adjoining door in the bedroom and in the next room was a family with a 1 and 3 year old. So, when the kids were crying, whining or screaming it felt like they were in our room. It's not the parents fault...my kids were that age as well at one time. It's just how it goes. We actually tried to move rooms because it was so bad and noisy it was hard to sleep even with ear plugs- but the resort was full and we would have had to move to an undesirerable location. We made the best of it, but there is no reason that there is zero sound proofing and a paper thin door separating the rooms like that. All in all it was a fun and inexpensive stay for us. The staff was so nice and the kids enjoyed the swim out suite and the activity. I think it seems like a great place for families with very young children, but not so great for things for teens to do. My sons were hoping for a teen club, but it was really just for kids. The waterpark is also for little ones. So between the noise issue in the room, the food, and it not being the best for teens I would not return with my family. But I would recommend to families with young kids who won't care about the food issues.

Incredible service and Concierge especially!!!!!!
we would more than recommend this hotel to anyone. We had the best services. Everything was impeccably clean. Our room was beyond what we expected. We had three rooms one for two adults, one for two adults, and two children, and one for two adults and three children The children even said this is the best place we ever stayed and we’ve taken many family vacations cannot say enough about our experience at the hotel. The food all the restaurants were great. We’ve gone to many all inclusive and usually the food there is terrible. Again, cannot recommend this hotel more and more!!!
