Incredible! Want to visit again!
The resort was very welcoming and everyone was very friendly. The staff was very helpful especially our concierge Enrique, who provided us with activity and food information daily throughout our stay. We loved the service and the restaurants at the resort had delicious food. The beach was right there and we could walk to and from the beach and the pool whenever, which made the experience that much more enjoyable. We loved it so much we want to do a trip there again!

Beautiful resort, AMAZING service!
We absolutely loved our stay at Paradisus. We decided to upgrade our stay on the second day to the Reserve adults only side as we were super interested in the perks. Our room on both sides was nice, the room in tower 3 could use some love in terms of some new paint here and there but that didn’t phase us. Our room on the reserve side was stunning. We had no issues with AC or water in either. The beds and pillows were very comfortable as well. The food for the most part is really good. We found some things were not executed well but the service was always amazing and it’s pretty common you might order something that doesn’t suit your palate. If that’s the case, try something else! Lemon Fish was by far our favourite but we also loved Sal, Cielo and Sante. The only one we really didn’t like was Flora. (The Pool menu on the reserve side is much nicer in my opinion. Classic Mexican tacos, quesadillas, ceviche and aguachiles) The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because the room service menu is quite limited (more so for late night) and the quality at times was very poor for a 5 star resort. There is no swim up bar on the reserve side but they do make you for it with excellent service around the pools. There is also no music on the reserve side so the atmosphere is very quiet. We enjoy more pool entertainment or at least some music in the background. With the reserve upgrade you do have the option to go to the other side and use the other pool with a swim up bar and more lively music and or entertainment however! The regular pool is not heated so on a colder day it feels really cold but it is nice on those really hot days. The reserve side pool IS heated which I loved. There is nothing open past 11 if you meet friends and want to have a little night cap. Usually we’re in bed early to enjoy a full day of sun but it is nice to have options. (This may be a bonus to some as it gets very quiet) The staff at this hotel were so accommodating. They work so hard and I didn’t feel like it was soon closing. Honestly, some of the best service I have ever received on a resort and I usually go to 3-4 a year. I wish I remembered all of the names of the staff that stood out to us. But 3 I fondly remember are Yamil and Cesar, they are waiters around the pool and at the Sante restaurant. Nestor was also a HUGE highlight of our trip. He made the reserve pool side more fun for about an hour every day teaching dance/water aerobics. He is incredibly talented and very sweet. I’m a little shocked they are closing entirely for a year as the resort is already so beautiful and magical. The beach is PRESTINE and they even do food and drink service down there as well. I would honestly recommend this resort to anyone who is open minded that some areas/rooms may look a little outdated but in my opinion, that added character to the resort and it didn’t affect my trip at all. Every resort is different and that’s a part of the fun. I wouldn’t compare this resort to other luxurious 5 stars we have visited as it’s meant to be a different experience. This experience was amazing for us and I would definitely go back.

Great staff
My cousin and I went with our elderly grandparents who are hard of hearing and have difficulty getting around. The resort was fairly accessible, with ramps and elevators most places except for down to the beach. The staff was fantastic, very nice and always so helpful! Especially Martin, Fernando, and Jony at Malva, Enrique at check in, and Couoh the beach waiter.

Great resort, kind & helpful staff, beautiful beach
I took our elderly grandparents here in January 2025, 2 elderly and 2 in our 20’s. The staff were incredible, so happy to help and please you. They went out of their way to assist us with our grandpas wheelchair, serving us, and guiding us. The beach access could have been a little more handicap accessible but otherwise the resort was very accessible for a wheelchair. I’d like to mention a few of the staff, during our check in at the front desk Enrique went above and beyond to ensure we had rooms next to our grandparents (one of which is physically disabled & has Alzheimer’s). At the buffet Malva, we had several servers provide excellent service during breakfast lunch and dinner, so thank you to our servers Martin, Fernando, Joni, and Enrique. The beach was beautiful and white, no trash or seaweed, didn’t have to wake up incredibly early to get a beach cabana. Room service the food was pretty cold but our rooms were nice, had a great view of the sunrise and of the shows that were hosted at the pool. Other hotels allow you to check out a wheelchair and keep it during your stay, and the hotel was fully booked while we were here but they wanted to have a worker drive the wheelchair to your destination then they took the wheelchair back. Grandma missed a step (totally her own fault) but after that they allowed us to keep the wheelchair during our stay which was great. Would recommend if you need a wheelchair full time to bring your own. They had an umbrella for us to use when we had a reservation at the outside restaurant, as our grandparents are very slow walkers and would’ve been sopping wet by the time we got there. You can order food and drinks on the beach and have them delivered, the beach was NEVER crowded or unenjoyable. Didn’t see any marine/wildlife but sometimes that’s a good thing! It’s a fairly quiet hotel, not too many activities in the evening but we thoroughly enjoyed this resort. I am a very picky eater and I found plenty to eat during our week stay.

Subpar holiday vacation
Very disappointing stay. I booked this resort based on the good reviews and was completely surprised on day one of our stay. We arrived on Christmas Day and couldn’t get a reservation for dinner. I had called them weeks earlier to reserve dinner, but they told me that I had to do it upon arrival and that I wouldn’t have any issues. Well our whole family had to wait 3 hours to be seated at any of the restaurants, which was way past our kids bedtimes. There is very little customer service and it takes an atrocious amount of time to make dinner reservations at all the hotel restaurants. Food is subpar, the only decent food we had was during the day when we had to pay $250 for a daybed which came with a nice seafood lunch. The beach chairs are hard to come by, you have to race out at 6 or 7a to get a decent spot. And then our chairs were stolen by the time we got to them. I’m sorry, but this is not an idea of a relaxing vacation when you have to fight for chairs. The hotel is also old and run down. As I was taking a shower, the entire left side of the shower ceiling collapsed on me, which was absolutely disgusting. It took them two hours to come fix it, which they simply put some plaster on the ceiling. I went to guest service to let them know how unacceptable it is for the ceiling plaster to come off like that and there should be some compensation, such as a food/beverage credit, and he looked at me and responded with “the only thing we can do is send you a gift” and never even apologized to me. Not sure what the “gift” was because it never showed up. Absolute worst customer service and highly recommend to NOT stay here.
