Hawaii vacation
The check in and out was smooth. Joshua was really friendly and professional. He gave us option of upgrading to a better room (for additional fee of course) which we agreed. We ended up on higher floor and had a good view of the Waikiki beach. All the staff were very polite and helpful. Thanks to everyone at the hotel.

A stay in Paradise
Outrigger staff was a breath of fresh air. In a world. Where customer service is dead. Lynn my housekeeper kep my room clean and stocked and the breakfast restaurant food was fresh for the 6 days straight. Again Thank you to the staff and my house keeper Lynn who is the MVP.

Disappointed overall
I was disappointed in the Beachcomber (and all the 5-star reviews) given the high TA rating. It is just an average hotel in my opinion. Yes, it is in Waikiki, and yes, it is a five-minute walk to the beach but there are many hotels that check those boxes. I was hoping for a stylish, vibrant hotel but the “lobby” is just a collection of chairs on the second-floor by reception. It is totally enclosed with no access to the outdoors other than the small pool. There are no window, no plants, no lobby bar - just a box office for the Cirque de Soleil and an activities office. A small cafe provides food and coffee to the pool area and there is a substantial line each morning. Our rooms were nice, comfortable and clean but I consider that to be a given for a $300+ night hotel. We did not have any real interactions with the staff in our week stay which I guess should be considered a good thing. This is by no means a bad hotel - had a lovely stay - but I am surprised to see it at the top of the TA rankings. I think for the money (plus the $40 resort fee!?) you could do better at one of the other hotels in the area.

Great place to stay
Firstly greeted by Kristina who was so lovely and helpful with getting us checked in early. Our room was serviced by Estrelita who always did an amazing job. The hotel itself was perfect for our group. Comfiest beds and linen. Central to everything we needed. Would recommend staying here.

Really Loved the Location!
I really would go a 4.5 for a rating if that was possible. Our complaints were not serious, we did enjoy this property. The location is superb and the king suite we had was clean and spacious. King bed was also comfy. Our only negatives were 1) the view- if you want to see Diamond Head you need to be on that side of tower. We were on the 24th floor and had a nice view but the opposite tower side would have been much better. 2)There were not enough lights in the suite and a couple of them appeared to have burned out bulbs. During the day the room is so bright with the two balconies but at night we were sometimes a bit challenged. Overall though, this is a great property that I would recommend.
