Friendly & Comfortable in Providence
I have traveled to Providence for work for 9 weeks this winter and spring and I have stayed at the Omni each time. It’s a very comfortable hotel and conveniently located downtown near the mall, convention center, and many restaurants. There is a sky bridge connecting the hotel directly to the mall. I would recommend rooms in the west tower as they are newer. Try to get a corner room if possible. Great views of the Rhode Island state house from one side and the Narragansett Bay in the distance on the other. The beds, linens and pillows are comfy and the hot water is plentiful. Each room has a fridge and Keurig, but no microwave which is one of the few inconveniences. The restaurants inside the hotel are very expensive but high quality. The room service is excellent, particularly the turkey club. Phenomenal French fries. Pretty good lobster roll. I have not seen any vending machines anywhere but I wish there was one. The coffee shop makes very good strong coffee, and if you’re an Omni member you get a free drink ticket (more as you move up the levels). One complaint is that they very frequently open later than advertised. Service is pleasant. I wish it was open past 2pm but there are other coffee shops nearby. Overall I’m so glad I chose the Omni. I recommend it and will continue to stay there when business brings me to Providence!

Daysha
The hotel was very nice and the location was great. I never could get wifi, but an assistant manager named, Daysha, went out of her way to try and help me get wifi. The food in the hotel restaurant Fleur was excellent. It is really a beautiful hotel.

Treat you like a celebrity
Staying at the Omni Providence was the closest I've experienced to being treated like a celebrity. Guest services reached out to me ahead of my stay asking if there was anything else I needed. To my surprise, they actually immediately responded when I did ask for help - I had made a few separate reservations and they were able to combine them into one seamlessly. They were also able to upgrade our room due to some noise issues without even batting an eye. The bellmen are all courteous and kind, and the valet service was punctual. Will definitely be the place I stay when I go back to Providence. Oh, and the location was perfect for going to events at the Amica Pavilion.

Bad Manager decision on Room Refund
Booked a room for Thursday and Friday for the NCAA March Madness. Checked in on Thursday at 11:45am but due to a family emergency had to check out the same night at 7:00pm. Carlos at the front desk was very helpful and wanted to do something but his manager Clinton and Andy were not available so he gave us Clinton's phone number. Left him a message the following morning to see if the Friday charge could be reimbursed. Did not hear back from him or anyone until Sunday night. Andy gave a company line of well it was a 2 night minimum requirement. No Common Sense here. The right thing to do would have been to reimburse the one night. It is too bad customer service is lost on a baseless decision.

Stay in the West Tower
The East Tower is very dated and the West Tower is newly renovated. The East Tower is often referred to as the "Motel 6 Tower" by guests and it is along those lines with dated furniture and in need of many upgrades. The AC/Heat made a loud rattling noise, coffee maker was broken and stained furniture. The West Tower is much more comfortable and modern.
