Wonderful vacation
We had an amazing week! I brought my mom for her 80th birthday and it was perfect! Wine and birthday cake when we arrived, a birthday serenade at our last dinner- which as delicious lobster tail. The rooms were gorgeous, the beds very comfy. Ive been coming here for years and I love it.

Winter Getaway
This resort is my favorite. It is small and personable. The staff makes us feel like family. Our butler, Hector Lara, checked in with us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. When there was a minor repair needed in the room, he made sure it was taken care of immediately. My sister is coming in April, and I’ve already requested that Hector be assigned to her as well. Our meals were fantastic, and there is something for everyone.

I just had to take a moment to share our wonderful experience with Jose Lopez, the pool concierge at Ocean Coral and Turquesa. From the moment we arrived, Jose greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel right at home. His friendly demeanor and attentive service truly made our stay unforgettable! Throughout our time at the resort, Jose went above and beyond to ensure that all our needs were met. Whether it was providing recommendations for the best spots to relax by the pool or making sure our drinks were always topped up, he was always there with a helping hand and a cheerful attitude. His dedication to customer service is truly commendable! Thank you, Jose, for making our vacation so special. We can't wait to return to Ocean Coral and Turquesa and enjoy your fantastic service again! Highly recommend everyone to seek him out during their stay! 🌊☀️🍹

I traveled to most parts of the world and in my opinion this isn’t a 5 star hotel, won’t be returning.
Spent two weeks here over Christmas with my wife and friends and paid an inordinate amount of money for the period and I’m sad to say, despite the decorations and a few fireworks on NYE, it wasn’t worth the money and little effort was made for the season and festivities. We paid more than double the average rate and there was no value in doing so whatsoever. In fact, you were bound to order a bottle of your choosing starting from $35.00 on top of monies already spent on the all inclusive package, if you wanted to receive the festive food menu!! Paid extra for the adults only El Beso area and AI but found ourselves having to buy wine repeatedly ( as above ) in order to get into the specialty dining restaurants as they were mainly booked up on the app by 8.05am, with priority always given to Privilege people. The indoor Italian and Brazilian Grill resembled a school canteen with no real charm or ambience, and service was overly forced resembling a fast food feeling. The staff at El Beso seemed really attentive on our first few visits for breakfast and lunch, but that faded away as the holiday progressed and orders were repeatedly mixed up or forgotten. They did remember to regularly remind us of the need to leave positive reviews online however, in order to uplift pay and help them progress up the ladder. Not a fan of the all inclusive and the fact there were many exclusions and only one offering of a house red and two variations of local beer. It was incredibly disappointing, given how you were well catered to if you fancied hard liquor, with a dozen or so variations of one gin, vodka, whisky, etc… As a rule all bar staff and waiters were really lovely and very attentive. Rooms were OK despite the refurb. Poor quality and finish, with a lot of unnecessary or unserviceable space. The shower continually ran hot/cold to the extreme, which was frustrating as well as dangerous and there was a constant smell of fowl drainage in the bathroom. The maid service was daily and covered all the essentials, but there was a definite lack of cleanliness at times. Our floors in particular were filthy and heavily soiled. Spent $850 USD on four trips at the dive centre. Would highly recommend the Catamaran to Isla Mujeres and Talum, but the money spent on the snorkelling trip out to the reef is a total waste - spent longer getting there and back than we did in the water. Equally, be aware if you book the game fishing and make sure you confirm what type of boat your getting as we had what can only be described as a metal dinghy turn up and not the one pictured at the desk. It was not big game fishing by any means and was ill equipped. It also left without any cover from the sun for over 4-hrs. Good points are the Blue Moon restaurant - great food, service and overall feel. Very attentive, highly trained staff. In here is how you would expect to dine. The availability of sun beds at El Beso was never an issue and the area was well kept and really lovely. The beach/pool waiters at El Beso are noteworthy too. Entertainment was good overall too, no shortage of options. Same for the reception staff at the front desk. A nice hotel/stay overall, but falls way short of the 5* mark ( provision and infrastructure aside ) - they haven’t mastered the art of genuine, quality and service, despite applying the price tag for it. Sadly it gave you the overall feeling of being dissatisfied and a sense the operation is all about making as much money as possible from every possible avenue.

Awesome Pool Concierge
My wife and I stay at ocean properties because of the incredible people we meet, and this trip was no exception. Once again, we were taken care of and treated like royalty. If you’re at the privilege pool, Jose Lopez is the person to go to. He’s hands down the best pool concierge we’ve ever had! Jose went above and beyond to ensure my wife, who has sensitive skin, always had shade—whether by securing us a cabana or an umbrella. He even teamed up with Ricardo to make sure we always had food and drinks at hand. It was the most outstanding pool experience we’ve ever had on vacation. We can’t wait to come back!
