Fine Resort but didn’t Respond to Domestic Violence
This is the first time I have ever written a review but I felt compelled to do so based on an incident that happened on the second to last day of our trip. Overall the resort was nice, staff was friendly, food was decent. It was what you would expect in a resort, a lot of great areas for kids, no major issues. Didn't love the timeshare/"premium membership" pitch but we could have been more forceful in not getting pulled into that. However, there was an incident where I witnessed a man assault his girlfriend multiple times by the pool (spit in her face twice, came at her aggressively and grabbed her leg and arm shoving them into the pool lounger and away respectively). There were two members of staff that were around who I thought were going to intervene and when they did not, I spoke to them. One staff member, instead of being concerned found it fairly funny and let me know that the woman had been flirting with another man the night before, implying that the man's behaviour was justified. He also went on to mime that the man had hit and/or pushed the woman the night before, all while smiling like it was a joke and not abusive behaviour that the hotel should have dealt with. When I spoke to the woman later to see if she was ok, she let me know that the hotel staff had threatened to kick her out because they believed she was causing the disturbance. While there are many aspects to this story that I am leaving out, my main issue was with the way the hotel/resort responded to very clear abuse/assault. In the three hours that I sat watching multiple interactions between the couple, they (hotel staff) did not intervene once and even disappeared when the man came back a third time at which point I stepped in and got into a verbal altercation with the man as I was concerned for the woman's safety. I am not here to weigh in on the couple involved in this situation, I am however so deeply disappointed in the hotel's response. It became obvious that they did not take what was happening seriously and the response was misogynistic and appalling. I have to imagine that with the volume of visitors in a variety of relationships, it is not uncommon for staff to witness problematic or illegal behaviour, but I was shocked at the total lack of appropriate response.

10/10 Experience with TUI
After reading some mixed comments, I was initially a bit worried about our trip with TUI, but I have to say it turned out to be a perfect holiday experience, deserving a full 10 out of 10! First of all, the resort itself is beautiful with so much to do that we never felt bored. The team of entertainers was absolutely fantastic—whether by the beach or the pool in the afternoons, they really made an effort to engage with guests, and our little girl adored them! The main buffet was outstanding, with a huge selection of food every day. The service was exceptional, and the staff always greeted us with warm smiles and even remembered our favorite drinks, which made us feel so welcomed. The room was excellent too—spacious with two big beds, a modern bathroom, and reliable air conditioning. It was perfect, though we spent most of our time outdoors, as the surroundings were absolutely stunning! Overall, I wouldn’t change a single thing about our trip, and I would highly recommend this resort for anyone planning their holidays. It exceeded all expectations!

A great vacation turned sour
First the good part. Upon our arrival We were greeted buy friendly staff. Our checkin was smooth and a welcome drink provided. We did not have to wait long to get into our room. Our Butler was Albin and he was very good to us and we would highly recommend him. He made our dinner reservations for us and we would see him by the pool where he would come and ask us how things were going. Our room was in Building 6 (Privilege) near the beach. The room was always clean and the morning maid was always friendly. When we saw the evening maid she as well was very friendly and kind. Our mini bar was refilled every day and the guy that refilled it was also very friendly and kind. Breakfast at the Villa Marina was really great. Both Elvin, Francisco and all the staff gave us great service. The Buffet lunch at the Villa Marina has less items than the main buffet but still very good. Francisco and staff again were friendly. The Hot Pasta station really stood out. It is very nice to have a Privilege area buy the pool. Service there for drinks could be better. Elvin and the staff at the Steakhouse gave us fantastic service and our food was really great too. Our dinner at the Sensai restaurant was very good and Hector and Yaris and the Chef made the experience that much better. Great food too. We saw Yaris again at the Mexican reastaurant where we had great service. She was very attentive and again made our experience that much better. The food was hot and very good but could have had a bit more spice for our liking. Service at Mike's Coffee was excellent where staff where again friendly and prompt. At the Lobby Bar, Francisco and Alexander (sexy black) gave us great service and were very friendly and kind. Shaggy and the rest of the Blue team did a great job of making the people in the lobby or the daily events feel included. Nightly entertainment was great as well. The grounds of the resort are well kept and clean and it was nice to see Pinky the Flamingo again. The beach has really improved and is easier to access than the last time we were there. The not so good. Dinner at the main buffet was hit and miss. They had an American Thanksgiving dinner where we ate more beef than turkey as all we got was some bones with no meat on the when I specially asked for some white meat which was there. The food could also be warmer even when it first opens. It was a good thing there are lots of choices but for the most part we would rather eat at the other restaurants. The special dinner included gets worse every time we come. We started with a Lobster dinner years ago that eventually became steak and shrimp to now just steak is somewhat disappointing as this special dinner is now Not So Special. We had a better Steak at the Steakhouse Now the worst part that soured a great time. We had a Samsung Tablet that we left out on the desktop in our room. We never took it out of the room. Unfortunately some of the staff have sticky fingers as that tablet was stolen from our room. We did not notice it until the day we left to go to their other resort Ocean El Faro. We contacted our butler Albin and he looked into it and told us no tablet was found. So PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING OF VALUE OUT IN YOUR ROOM. KEEP THOSE ITEMS IN YOUR SAFE. We have stayed at this resort several times and this is the first time anything like this has happened to us. I guess being friendly and leaving a tip on the bed or in the minibar every day is still not enough for some staff members.

Arriba Punta Cana
We had a week here , there were 6 of us, we were in blocks 5 and 9. Rooms have been upgraded with walk in showers, beds comfortable, nice sofa and outside seating area. Our cleaner was Robert, very good and always helped out when we asked Block 5 was in the middle facing the first swim up bar, short walk to the beach one way and the opposite way to buffet and restaurants, lobby bar, piano bar Little trolley came around frequently though day and night so great to hop on on those hot days. Food was good in the buffet, breakfast I opted for omelets, bacon and waffles the days we had breakfast there. of course Mimosas went down a treat Lunch was basically the same every day there was a good variety of food, lot of salad, fruits and chicken, pork, cold cuts and cheeses Night time buffet same, good variety of food and always lots of desserts Coffee in the buffet not so good however Mikes, Mikes had the best cappuccino, lattes, smoothies. Irish coffee and Spanish coffee the best, some mornings we grabbed a cream cheese and salmon bagels, or sandwiches, Danishes, muffins or donuts, Lovely little chill out coffee bar, indoor and out door seating area. Sean in there was always there with a smile Villa Marina for some lunches when we were at the beach, nice patio overlooking the beach. basic buffet and drinks, nice place to sit in the afternoon Restaurants Fave Blue Moon French cuisine, lovely food, nice vibe, great staff Japanese great food, put on a little show, felt bit rushed, we had 1 hour ( you need to book this one) Italian was also good food and a nice atmosphere Mexican OK, good margaritas Route 66 great decor with the old car and Elvis along with Marylin Monroe. food was ok not great Pools one was quiet with swim up bar, the other the entertainment pool We did the foam party Saturday while drinking our sex on the beaches Tuesday Michael Jackson Show at the stage inside by lobby We hung out singing and dancing in the piano bar Beach was small but it was a nice beach, some sea weed but not much you can do about that Lovely swims , water was fabulous. This is a good resort, we met many people who had been there 10 times or more We would go back

A nice getaway in the Caribbean to recommend
I’m very pleased with the hotel overall. There is almost nothing negative to say. Especially I thought the entertainment team was very nice, kind and funny. Always coming up to you and motivating you to participate in the activities. Makes time pass by fast and made the vacation unforgettable. Two animators stood out to me especially: Black Panther & Hot Coffee. Otherwise, also in restaurants and bars I was pleased, although sometimes it was a bit slow. Overall, a fantastic vacation in this resort.
