Absolutely Discussing
This is the most discussing hotel because the sewage smell comes up through the shower. It is so bad I have to put paper in my nose so I can survive. I am thinking of sleeping in the hallway. The worst part is nobody will help, no managers ... this place stinks reel real bad ... NEVER stay at this accidental resort

A frustrating stay saved only by the pools hospitality. Won’t be coming back.
The highlight of my stay was Andres Rios. He was the friendliest and most helpful person at the hotel—always cheerful and truly the best part of the experience. Unfortunately, the rest of the stay didn’t live up to expectations. I booked a king bed, but none were available, so I ended up with a room with two full beds that smelled unpleasant, and they wouldn’t offer a room switch. On top of that, the toilet was clogged and required a handyman to fix it and the shower overflowed everyday as well. The pool was enjoyable, but the food was hit or miss. The buffet was decent at times, and the Japanese restaurant was a highlight, but everything else felt average at best. Overall, I won’t be returning to this hotel. The service from Andres was amazing, but the rest of the experience left much to be desired.

Just ok ... But the pool was great.
We had a great time and we had amazing service from Andres Rios by the pool. We made sure that we were in his area every day as he was so attentive and helpful to us. We would come back again because of his hospitality. Most everything else was average and the hotel could use some improvement.

Small Friendly Resort
I booked this hotel last minute, we booked as the Royal club thankfully as you get unlimited restaurant reservations. The buffet is quite small and very much the same every day, but the restaurants were good especially the Royal club restaurant. The hibachi was one of the best shows we’ve seen to date, it’s a must if you go. Overall we all had a good time, it’s very quiet on the Royal area of the beach unfortunately they didn’t really have anyone promoting the activities as I believe they only ran at the pool. If you are looking for a smaller friendly hotel this is it! You can walk for hours along the beach which I felt very safe walking alone as a female, the ocean was great - you can’t see the bottom but it was clean. The only downside was the room didn’t have a balcony, we had to upgrade when we got there as I was claustrophobic in the small corner room that we were issued. The rooms without the balcony are quite small and older. So I would highly recommend booking the balcony ahead of time otherwise it seems everyone pays different prices for this upgraded room. Theres also a market across the street at the Yacht club on Tuesdays which was great, so many food vendors. They do have a lot of vendors that come up to you at the resort but I found them to be very respectful when you aren’t interested. The sunsets are absolutely beautiful and just a peaceful, friendly vibe. The one thing I wish they had of done was hold people accountable when they would smoke in the common areas, people would come over to the non smoking area of the beach just to smoke and the security wouldn’t say anything, security also stood in the Royal area but rarely checked bracelets to make sure that it was just the Royal club that was accessing the beach area. I never go to the same resort twice but I would make the exception for this hotel.
