This place makes you feel sick.. zero cleanliness.. zero friendliness.. zero hospitality.. zero customer service..very staff has language barrier they only speak and understand Spanish.. no one understands English

One of the activities that I enjoyed the most were those that show the experience of making guacamole and paella in the company of the Chef de cuisine as well as the Sous Chef, who show us their experience and share their knowledge with us, pleasant moments, a friendly team that makes the guests enjoy themselves to the fullest, an activity that I had not experienced anywhere else, well done Occidental Costa Cancun How nice it is to find people who want to make a change and are open to receiving opinions that help them do their job better. Everyone has bad days and mistakes, but not everyone takes on the task of changing them. Thank you to Costa Cancun for showing me their commitment to change and to be professional, giving the best attention not only to me but to all the guests.

10 day overall good stay
I booked a ten day stay the day before flying in to Cancun. Room was nice with requested high floor, clean, nice view, comfy bed and well maintained. Had a small issue with AC that if turned off wouldn’t start back at times but that was fixed. This is my fifth trip to Cancun this year. Usually staying at higher end hotels. For what I paid I am satisfied, no more no less. As like most hotels the service is hit or miss. The entertainment could be improved. Food was good for the most part. Different options everyday. The a la carte restaurants were good and I never had an issue making a reservation. The drinks are not great, I’ll agree with some reviews that they are watered down. I learned to be more specific when ordering which helped but still a negative point for this hotel. Beach isn’t great but the pool is nice and big. Location is pretty good and can take a bus to anywhere juste a few minutes away. Some of the staff are the reason I have 4 instead of 3 for this stay. Good genuine people who obviously take pride in delivering great hospitality. Huge thank you to: Guadalupe (Buffet) Tonio (Mexico lindo) Luis (A&B) Sergio (concierge) Afternoon pool server is also lovely. All in all for lower budget hotel and depending what you are looking for I would still recommend this hotel.

Review of Occidental Costa Cancun I recently stayed at the Occidental Costa Cancun for four days and three nights in November 2024, and while the experience had its positives, there were definitely some drawbacks that stood out. First, the hotel grounds were truly beautiful. The landscaping was lush and well-maintained, and it was clear that the staff worked hard to keep everything clean and inviting. Throughout my stay, I noticed employees constantly tidying the common areas, which added to the overall pleasant atmosphere. The beach, however, was a disappointment. It’s small and doesn’t have the stunning turquoise waters you might expect when visiting Cancun. If a picture-perfect beach is a top priority for your trip, this resort might not meet your expectations. Unfortunately, the food was a major letdown. Most meals were below average, and it didn’t help that the hotel had limited availability for dinner reservations. Despite checking in early and trying to secure a spot, we weren’t able to dine at one of their specialty restaurants until our final night. To make matters worse, it seems the hotel alternates which restaurants are open, further restricting options. The drinks were another disappointment. While I appreciated the effort to offer a variety of cocktails, the alcohol seemed watered down. I sipped on dirty martinis for most of the trip, but I never felt even slightly buzzed—a surprising and frustrating experience. If you’re looking for an inexpensive, no-frills hotel with beautiful grounds, this could be an option for you. However, if you’re hoping for quality food, better beach access, and a more authentic Cancun experience, I’d recommend choosing another resort.

One aigain exellent stay is my 3 time here Verry clean room / AC verry cold what I like / Hot water all the time Staff are verry carefull and amazing Food is ok can be bether Only complaine this time they assigne my the room 560 this room face the show at night so is like you sleep with the show if you like me and sleep early avoid this room but front desk change me the next day and the 631 is perfect quiet confy took 3 day to feel up my shampoog and pass all my stay with broken soap dispancer even of I tell at the front desk Frist day
