Must stay in Miami Beach
Incredible stay here during Miami music week. Luvie, Krystal and Joshua with guest services were fantastic and incredibly accommodating. They upgraded us for our special weekend. We will be back next year and staying at Nobu. If you are looking for every option in one hotel space, Nobu is it.

Putting lipstick on a 4 star does not make it a 5
We have stayed at other Nobu hotels - even ones that are part of a larger complex, like the one in Marbella, Spain. The difference is the one in Marbella is part of a 5-star complex (Puente Tomano), btw its great, I recommed that one. But the Nobu Miami is the Eden Roc, a mid-level 4 star mass complex catering to large groups and the midmarket. The building even says "Eden Roc" on it - I beleive it is the old Eden Roc just renamed and the new "Eden Roc" is a more modern version attached to the same lobby. I have not seen the rooms in the Eden Roc, but the ones in the "Nobu hotel" are perfectly fine. Nothing impressive, but nothing objectionable. But once you step outside your room, you are in the Eden Roc resort. The same lobby. Same bell boy service. The same breakfast buffet you would expect at an airport Sheraton. The unimpressive offering is located in the Nobu restaraunt for guests of all hotels and most of it is medicore food in sterno containers, while half the fresh food is gone when you go up and only replaced sporadically. Same room service - which took 50 minutes do deliver the ice cream my son ordered. Same beach. Same uncomfortable beach chairs. Same Hilton hotel quality lunch available. Technically, Nobu guests have access to a small pool that sits on top of the restaurant. It's fine. But for some reason it is also only for 21+ years (even though its not like they have free alcohol), so if you have teenagers, you are stuck at the same crowded, noisy, Eden Roc pool that everyone else has. Also, for some reason, the hotel throws you off the beach by 5pm while it is still quite sunny this time of year. So around 4:45 the beach guys start coming around and putting things away while telling you to get ready to pack up. I asked one of the mangers about that and he said it was a City ordinance. But everyday we got kicked off the beach I saw all the chairs and umbrellas being used at the Fountainebleau to the south and all the condos to the north. When I asked the beach workers, they said they were only paid to work 9 to 5, so they had to get everything shut down by then to go home. We moved to the Nobel pool, which closed down only a 1/2 later. None of this is what one should expect if they wanted to stay in a 5 star hotel. We had multiple rooms and we were all off to different destinations/flights the day we were leaving. I tried to get a guarenteed late check out (you pay a fee) so that the kids could enjoy the beach for a bit rather than walk around Miami. I was told that was not possible because the hotel was full - even though rooms were readily avaiable on-line to book. Instead they suggested that we just use the spa to shower and clean off when we were ready to go. We arrived at the spa to do just that only to be told that for reasons unclear to me, you have to be 21+ to go into the spa. I tried to explain that we were only there because that was what we were told was our best option and we had to leave for a flight. After some discussion, I was told a manager was coming to help us. When the manager showed up, she helpfully informed us that you had to be 21 to shower in the spa. I explained that we had learned of that little gem 20 minutes ago, but that did not solve our issue. After more cicular discussion, she informed us that a higher level manager was coming to help us. After more waiting, a polite gentleman arrived and said he was the customer experience manager. Once again, I explained our predicament and said we just needed a place to shower ASAP - the spa, a room, anywhere. I explained that were were specifically told to use the spa when trying to get a late check out and I would sign anything they needed to allow someone under 21 to shower...or go somewhere else in the complex. He continued to smile nicely and repeat that he "understood what we were saying," which I would assume he had to practice saying for hours during the annual mid-level management training retreat. I politely tried to explain that I did not really think he did understand us - otherwise he would be offering a solution, or at least aplogizng for us being in this position. After I threw out possible solutions - like maybe running back up to our room (or any room), he said he would look into that. BUT he had to go downstairs and speak to a "manager." Given we had already wasted 50 minutes going through 3 levels of management, none of whom seemed to have the authority to authorize a shower, and that it was unclear how many more managers would be needed, we had to just change in the bathroom and head to the car for the airport. The very polite manager of customer experience did come out to meet us by the car to explain that he was concerned that we were leaving with a "bad taste" and that "he understood." To which I once again explained that I was pretty sure he did not understand and that he should be more concerned that we were leaving with the taste of suntan lotion and sweat in our mouths and were now looking forward to two seperate 1 hour car rides and a 3 hour flight covered in sand, sweat, and suntan lotion. Our experience aside, I would not say that the Nobu hotel is a disaster. Its just not a 5 star hotel in anyway. If you want that, go to the Edition, the 1 hotel, the W, the Setai, or the Faena to name a few. Otherwise, just know that you are staying at the Eden Roc, which could have been the Radisson, Sonesta, etc.

An addition to my previous review
I made an earlier review about my whole business experience here but I would also like to mention Paolo who was in charge of helping the service at my event run smoothly. He was amazing at his job and so kind! Always coming by to check how things were going, helping me clean up, and even bring things to my car afterwards!

Exceptional service before I even arrived – Nobu never disappoints
I’ve been seriously impressed with the pre-travel experience at Nobu - so much so that I’m writing this review before even arriving later evening. I reached out to Nick S. at Nobu ahead of my stay because I was worried about possible flight disruptions after London Heathrow Airport’s closure. I didn’t want to risk losing my hotel booking or being marked as a no-show. Nick reassured me and promised to do everything possible to make sure things went smoothly. This kind of thoughtful, personalised service is exactly why I keep coming back to Nobu Hotel Miami Beach. Having stayed here before, there are a few things that really set it apart (photos attached)… The service is warm and attentive—the front desk team are genuinely lovely and go out of their way to make your stay perfect, checking in with you throughout and adjusting things as needed. The rooms and balconies are spacious compared to other hotels, with stunning oceanfront views. The exclusive Nobu pool is fantastic (plus, you still get access to the main pools). The cocktails are strong and generous - exactly what a British visitor expects! I’m also a huge fan of the intimate spa, namely the cold plunge pool, which is part of my daily routine - I’ve yet to find another hotel that offers this. With all this, it’s no surprise the team consistently earns mentions and top-tier rankings from Condé Nast. Can’t wait for my stay and thank you for the care you have extended.
