Feb 03, 2025Wonderful long weekend with the most friendly staff we've experienced in a long time.
Charming, friendly staff and wonderful experience. The rooms could use a bit of a refresh, but they are very large and comfortable with double balconies to view the sunset, which were lovely. We brought our fur baby (dog) with us and found lots of great walking routes. And the spa -- divine!

The hotel has a nice location but is in desperate need of renovation. It was probably an exclusive destination in the 90’s, but now the price doesn’t meet the standard anymore. Unfortunately even the staff needs a makeover to deliver a better experience.

Wonderful experience
The entire staff was wonderful, the rooms are spacious, and the grounds are beautiful. I was there for 5 days with a large group for a conference, so I didn't venture off the property very much, and I didn't get time to take advantage of the beautiful pools. I stayed in a Villa, and that area is gorgeous! The meeting spaces are very nice and the entire banquet staff was wonderful to work with. One tip for you: if you are planning a business event with a lot of attendees (we had almost 700) I suggest you contract with AV to provide good Wi-Fi for them. Free Wi-Fi is available, but with a huge group it's not great. We did not pay extra for upgraded Wi-Fi for the entire group and had a lot of complaints. The only options they had were the free (spotty) Wi-Fi, potentially using their mobile Hotspot, or paying a daily fee of $18. We'll know better for the event we're already planning there next year! Overall it was a great experience, and miles above the location we used the year before.

Wonderful experience!
All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I´d like to highlight the attitude of Iroel Savon who helped us forward a package that did not arrive during our stay. We also had a great experience at the restaurant the day we arrived. We were very tired and did not know where to have dinner. One of the waiters suggested we could dine in our room, but we did not like the idea so he took our order and had it delivered to a table in the lobby. Unfortunately, I did not ask his name. He was so kind! I highly recommend this hotel. We plan to go back as soon as we can!

We were down for a quick trip, so really didn't use all of the property at the Hotel, Lobby and Aura restaurant were inviting, but our Garden Villa was tired, needs an update. The location is pretty prime so an update would be important to get better rating.
