    Very poor maintenance and service

    We told the staff at noon time that our toilet was clogged and not flushing properly. When we left we told them again and they said it would be fixed. We were away until 10 pm and when we returned the toilet was exactly the same and no one had been sent to fix it. No one cleaned our room either. Now we are waiting for maintenance at 10:20 pm after a long day to have our broken toilet fixed. Totally unacceptable. In addition, the toilet paper holder is broken and the bar on the shower door is also broken. Very poor maintenance and I never write reviews but this is totally unacceptable!

    Large clean hotel

    Updated and large room. Noisy in the evening only because of a wedding party and teenage boys running through the hallways. Otherwise, a very spacious and clean hotel. Convenient to airport, great view from atop a hill. Short visit here with a bus tour group, so we didn't really use any of the amenities, but I would recommend, especially for large groups.

    Double billing for same stay; no apology or correction

    The Sheraton Springfield Monarch Place in Springfield, MA, under the Marriott umbrella of hotel chains, is itself a perfectly fine hotel. I stayed for three nights, 9/11-- 9/13/24, during a conference for which the room was block- booked at a supposedly group rate. The staff was mostly courteous and helpful; the room was a basic hotel room: clean, with the usual simple amenities, minus a functioning floor lamp and a full mirror. I did not purchase or need any extras, nor did I need cleaning services. When I checked out, I was invoiced the amount expected, with an unexpected and unwarranted extra $10+ charge for internet, which was supposed to be included, but was not needed anyway. I requested ( four times over the past three weeks) be removed. That finally was, this week, but the reason for the poor rating is this: Upon returning home, I paid the credit card balance for my stay. Afterward, I was surprised to see that numbers were not adding up, which is when I discovered that the Sheraton Monarch Place charged me $200 OVER the agreed- upon, invoiced amount. When my immediate, first and second queries about this were ignored, my more insistent contact methods resulted in a terse reply that there " was no error" on their part; that the extra $200 was for some sort of mysterious " group charges" that would eventually be refunded " if there were no charges." I responded that I had not incurred any extra charges, and again repeated my request that they refund the extra $200, including the erroneous internet charge. They said to " take it up with my bank." ( Note: dismissive and useless, since the credit card is not affiliated with my bank.) Next, I escalated my complaint. Shortly thereafter, I was charged AGAIN-- this time, the correct amount, plus the tacked-on internet charge-- for the SAME stay. The original, inflated amount was not refunded. This means that I was charged over $1300 for this stay. Further escalating my complaint, I was brushed off by the next level of management, who assured me that it would " clear" in a maximum of three weeks. Well, it has been three weeks and two days. NO REFUND. My subsequent queries have been ignored. I am now filing a formal complaint with the MA OAG. Travelers beware, if you stay here. Check your credit card statements. There is something gravely amiss with this hotel chain.

    Completely Unexpected and Highly Recommend

    Wow. I was extremely surprised how upscale this was. Did not expect it at all. Multiple restaurants and bars. All great. Sports bar was very cool with incredible food. Very upscale lobby. Rooms clean and big. Parking underneath with direct elevator to front desk. Highly recommend.

    AAU basketball tournament stay

    It was very clean has a wonderful restaurant w amazing food and drinks and has a heated pool that is really heated I recommend staying there! The hotel staff was amazing I asked were the closest store was to get milk for my two year old and they just went and got some for me very KIND
