Jan 10, 2025Christmas in Punta Cana
Overall a good resort. We went Dec 21-28. I was a little disappointed it wasn’t more decorated for Christmas. I have been to other resorts over Christmas and they have had more decorations. At least play Christmas music over the PA during that week. We were level. Jose was our butler. He was great. Need to get more carts for pickup. Sometimes we waited for 20 mins to get a cart. There is a board of activities at the barefoot grill and there should he one at the level restaurant as well. I didn’t have my phone out all the time. Building 8 and 9 were good.

Had a great time at this resort. Luis Pierre was our butler and he went above and beyond at every turn to make sure we had everything we needed. The beach is beautiful, the food is good and the resort is super clean. The rooms could use some updating and definitely the keys would demagnetized constantly which made it very frustrating. Other than that it was great!

Unbelievable, memorable trip.
Feb 2024 was our very first trip outside of Canada. Let me tell you what an experience. I will say, this was probably not the best choice for our first trip. Being treated like a King and Queen, set the bar pretty high. So with that being said, we are heading there again in Feb 2025! Absolutely everything was perfect. Our concierge Juan, and his partner Jose Minaya. We did see more of Juan, only because of their shift scheduling I believe. As soon as we arrived at the resort, we were whisked away to the Level area, where we waited to be checked in, with a glass of wine and snacks, overlooking the beautiful pool area. Once we were notified that our room was ready (Juan came to find us), Juan had a shuttle, ready with our luggage already in the shuttle. Once we entered our room we were taught about the safe, where things were as well as gifted with some lovely bottles of wine and rum. If we needed anything at any time, all we had to do was message Juan and Jose via whats app, and "poof" it was done: reservations, booking the Bali beds, our spa treatments, etc. We never waited more than a few min for a reply. We were there over Valentine's Day. Juan booked us at the hibachi restaurant, which was awesome. There was an additional cost, but we were told about that when we booked it. We came back to our room after a lovely dinner and a beautiful walk around the resort, only to find it covered in rose pedals, a bottle of champagne on ice, and a meat and cheese tray. Honestly, I don't think there is anything more that we could have asked for. We will be back in Feb this year, from the 10th to the 15th. We are even more excited about this trip, as we now know the lay of the land so to speak. We are far more knowledgeable of what is around, and where we can explore. If you are thinking about booking at this resort....do yourself a favor and do it. If your budget allows, do the level wellness by staywell. You won't regret it. Solo Trip to Melia
Great resort! Clean, delicious food, spread out (which meant some walking but it felt great to move around). The pool chairs were taken up by 9:00 am, but beach chairs were always available. The staff was helpful, cheerful, and always willing to engage in conversation. I was on a solo trip and had a lot of questions from staff on why I was solo, made me feel like it was a resort really meant for couples and groups. Overall, great, relaxing visit!
