Great resort, excellent food and service
We had a great time at the Melia. The resort was very clean, the food excellent and the service provided was very good. It's spacious enough that it never feels crowded in the dining areas or the pool area even when at or near capacity. There is a very nice and spacious lobby bar, a delicious Mexican a la carte (highly recommend!), and plenty activities throughout the day for kids and adults alike. Our 4 year old loved the kids club and the staff there were great with the kids. The beach is quieter than many other resorts due to the location on the marina, so there are very few beach vendors (which may be a pro or con depending on your preferences). The water was rough for our whole stay so ocean swimming wasn't an option. We prefer the beaches on other PV resorts we've stayed at, however since Melia has such a great pool area for families it wasn't a big deal for us. Overall we really enjoyed our first stay at the Melia and would definitely go back. Shoutout to the great staff that helped make our stay that much more enjoyable: outstanding service from Emilio every morning in the Palapa restaurant, Roberto for supper in the main buffet restaurant, Eduardo at the omelette station, and the great poolside service from Jerzon!

Outstanding Stay! !!
The customer service is Outstanding. Specially Miguel, Victor, and DANIEL the bartenders are exceptional!! They remember people all through out their stay, and their drink preferences. They go above and beyond every body’ expectations… The installations are continuously being maintained, comfortable, the food is delicious, and all personnel is wonderful…We will be back for sure.

Pool Chair Disaster
While we thoroughly enjoyed our week stay at the Melia, it was a shame that the holding of pool chairs made the most (negative) opinion of all. Food was always good and plentiful, drinks were good but thin on alcohol, sparkling wine was nice and so was white wine. Our room was clean and kept up very well by housekeeping staff. Nice to have a fridge and lots of bottled water. Sadly the pool situation has left a bad taste for me. There are signs around the pool about not holding chairs with towels but every day we were here, that has been the case. We talked to staff who are sympathetic but not willing to do anything. Based in that, I can’t recommend this place, but in all fairness, I suspect this is a problem with all the resorts.

Home away from home ❤️
We visited Melia in Dec 2022 for two weeks. We absolutely loved it here. We were a family of 6, (4 kids ages 3,7,16,18) First of all I want to shout the amazing staff! I wish I couldn’t mention them all as the will ALL go out of their way to accommodate you. But there is a few who really left an impression on us! Jose at the front desk, perfect English and helped us on more than 1 occasion translating or even calling kfc to see where our food went! Be sure to check out the lobby bar! The most amazing bartenders work there! VICTOR DANIEL! What can I say he kept our drinks flowing all vacation! Surprising us with all kinds of cool shots and drinks he made! ( Victor if you read this Dom and Sienna will forever miss you) Other staff from lobby bar, Jose, Monuel, Angel! All fantastic! Also to the front end lady and life guard who doctors up my husbands cut toe! Now on to my review. The food is good! It does get very repetitive, especially after 2 weeks. Hit up the pool side hut for the best French fries! My kids loved the hotdogs and hamburgers too! The location is so beautiful, well maintained and very clean. Iguanas roam the whole resort everyday. It’s quite cool to see! The pool is not heated which wasn’t the greatest but we lived with it! Marina is across the street, we visited it daily. Lots to see and do! This was our first time staying in the marina area and we loved it so much. It’s just calm and relaxing. We felt very safe on the resort and off. Well over our stay at the melia, it felt like home would love to come back!
