    Simply a sub-optimal experience!

I do not recommend this place. Over priced and does not have the quality of a 4 or 5 -star resort. Rooms were not very clean. Low pressure water while taking a shower. Wifi was not strong. Foods were over priced and low quality. Overall, we were not very pleased with our stay.

    Resort for a day

We spent the day at this resort while ported in Nassau on our cruise. We rented a cabana on the beach and our attendant Lakeisha was fantastic. She was so nice and attentive all day long. The beach was very nice as well as the lazy river. The walk was very easy from port. Will absolutely book again!!

    Okay at Best

My husband and I love Margaritaville resorts. This one not so much! Let me begin by saying it’s pretty and the staff is very kind and helpful. However, there are not many choices for food. Vacation cafe is the only moderately priced restaurant and the food is mediocre at best. JW steakhouse in the hotel next door( owned by Margaritaville) is lovely but obscenely expensive or sushi. We left hotel to eat most of the time. There is no nightlife other than a single singer at landshark bar which is like an airport bar. Some are better. The adult pool in 3rd floor is not in sun, we had to sit on other side of lazy river for sun. The pools could be cleaner! They do not scrub entire bottom and walls. Lazy river was dirty. Power washing is needed. Stains all over cement around pool. The rooms are not vacuumed and mopped daily. My dirty coffee cups at coffee bar in room were left. Very basic cleaning. I actually cleaned bathroom corners and left dirty rag for them to see. We had to find someone for drinks by pool no one comes around. The beach is fine except when cruises come in. Guests are overrun by cruisers. The resort caters to them. All of downtown Nassau shuts down at 5 when cruises leave. Walk down to fish fry area and go to Goldie’s for food, at the end of hotel walk a bit and have some Jerk chicken! The Tiki hut is a great bar on beach! Get the coconut cucumber! All said and done, we will not recommend couples who like food and nightlife of some kind to stay there. We went to BahaMar three times. Amazing!

    Deceptive Pricing Practices

We are really looking forward to our upcoming stay at this resort. Our family will be joined by two other families for a total of 11 people. However, 2 of the families have discovered massive price shifts in the price of our reservations AFTER we booked. The price of our total stay has shot up by over $2000 since we booked it. When we speak to customer service, we are advised to show up for check in with a PDF of the original price in hand with no guarantee that the price will be honored. At best, this is negligence and at worst this a very deceptive business practice. The only viable solution is for the resort to honor the price booked rather than ask a customer to spend their first hours of their trip arguing with management to simply honor the booked price. Are families supposed to budget for massive price fluctuations of $2,000-$3,000 after they have already booked? Is this how this resort typically does business? Is this how the entire chain of these resorts does business? I still very much hope this issue gets resolved immediately but this experience is putting a damper on a long awaited trip with family and friends. Looking forward to speaking with hotel management who will honor the price we received at the time of booking.
