This is our 5th year at the Elegance and as always, it felt like we were home 🫶🏻. Our friends remembered us, - Dario, Guzman, Santa, Joel - and we enjoyed catching up with them and their helping to make our trip amazing and helping us feel like true family. Our new friend/member of the family and butler Rafael was fantastic and made our visit special by stopping by to chat, catering to any need we had and suggesting and making reservations at the restaurants. I of course recommend this place but would love to keep it a secret too - because we like it when it isn’t as busy (wink).

Excellent staff
The Majestic club is a great idea. It was also our first time using the spa and it was an amazing experience. All of the staff are friendly and helpful but some are exceptional. Reyson at the Steakhouse bar is a great bartender with built in entertainment. Yafresi at Flavors and the Steakhouse makes sure you are never missing anything from your table… so friendly. And finally Fennis from the main poolside bar. She is a delight. Makes everyone feel welcome. They make the stay that much more enjoyable

Nice resort, spent lots of time on the great beach. A fine server Luis Miguel served us on the beach most days and did a great job. The restaurant at the beach for breakfast was limited compared to the main buffet. Service at all restaurants by all the staff is friendly and excellent. Shout out to Louis, Oscar, Edward Anthony, and Maria at the courtyard bar. Where is the bartender at the?

Wonderful beach vacation!
Absolutely amazing resort with so much to do or do absolutely nothing! Wonderful beach, restaurants, bars and above all the staff is amazing!! This was my second vacation at this resort. We will definitely be going back again. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is exactly what you expect.

Beautiful grounds on a great beach!
This resort is beautiful and well laid out and is on the large, walk for miles,Bavaro Beach! It is about a 5 minute walk from the lobby, where most of the restaurants are, to the beach. Our room was about half way between beach and lobby which was perfect! Our room was very large and clean. Furniture was dated and would be nicer with something less heavy and more beachy, but serves its purpose. King size bed was very comfortable and plenty of pillow options. There are many different pools, so lots of options with some activities at the main pool twice a day but they do not come around and push you to partake which is a nice change. We were in Club so had the option for smaller pools with no children, however if you did not get a cabana in the morning you had to use the other pools with children or the beach. Typically it wasn’t difficult to get family pool or beach chairs at 10ish depending on the size of your group. As for the club cabanas if you go and it looks like they are all in use, ask the pool guy in the white shirt. They will not hesitate to give you one that is being saved and no one has shown up. We used the club pool with the swim up bar and Ismail the bartender was great. Remembered your drinks and created some fun at the bat with shots and music. Jesus was the main pool guy and was always making sure you had everything you needed and was so upbeat all day. Both made the day so much better! We typically ate at the buffet as my husband was on a liquid diet and it was just easier to find food options for him but we did go to the steak house one night and it was very good. I had tenderloin, he had soup. Both very good and you could tell they were training staff but it did not affect our meal or service. At the main buffet we had no issues finding food for both of us to eat with a nice variety for me. I found that most at the buffets of the staff walked around looking unhappy and they liked to yell at each across the room which sometimes actually made me jump as it would come from behind me! Not very relaxing. However we had two staff at the main buffet that were exceptional in both service and attitude. Special shout out to Santiago and unfortunately cant remember the name of the cute little hostess with the short curly hair. Both were excellent at their jobs! Also would like to mention Juan at the Sea and See buffet for his outstanding service! None of the others really stood out to me at all. I would be remiss if I did not mention Gabriel, our butler! He was there everyday checking on us and making sure our room had what it needed as well as us. This was a very chill vacation for us so our needs were few but he brought the guys to the room to fix the air conditioner after a call to the front desk did not get any action. He also made sure that our room bar was kept stocked with what we wanted. He came in early on our last day to make sure our luggage was picked up and that we got on our bus ok. Thank you Gabriel. The lounges for the club members were nice but we didn’t use them very much. The coffee shop was a nice stop on our way out in the morning to get to the pool. If I had to make any suggestions it would be to move the Italian restaurant to somewhere where there are at least windows. I felt like I was in a basement when I went in there once and did not go back, it was so dark and didn’t feel like I was at a beach resort at all. Same for most of the restaurants except the Steakhouse and the Sea and See. Wish they had taken more advantage of the beautiful views either of the gardens or pools and beach! All in all it was a nice vacation and a beautiful resort!
