    Unforgettable experience

I had an amazing stay at La Casa de la Playa! The service was truly exceptional, and I want to especially highlight Laura and Memo. They were incredibly attentive, always available whenever needed, and made sure every detail was taken care of with great care and warmth. Their hospitality made my experience even more special. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for top-notch service and a luxurious stay. Can’t wait to come back!

    Wow! Incredible Experience!

Wow. This place is spectacular. It truly is a beautiful resort and service is on another level. We were hesitant to give it a try as we have generally avoided all inclusive resorts as the quality tends to be meh. But on a whim, due to the phenomenal reviews, we gave it a whirl- and boy are we glad that we did! This is not your ordinary all inclusive. Service- It really is next level. You are always addressed by name. If you ask where something is, you will not be told where it is, but offered to be escorted there. Communication was a breeze with our excellent butlers David and Celeste. You give them a 5 min heads up that you want to head to a restaurant or a park and a Yukon or Model X is waiting for you. The drivers were incredibly engaging and always friendly. We have stayed at a number of wonderful resorts/hotels and this may be up there as tops for service. Food- WOW. This is truly what stands out. As I said, quality was a reason we had generally avoided all inclusives. I honestly say, find me a better resort that has better food top to bottom. We at dinner at Xal the first night. I will say this was a bit of a miss. I think they were trying to be too creative with the menu. The service at dinner, though, was fantastic! Given the other food options, I can't say I'd recommend Xal for dinner. We did have maybe our favorite lunch at Xal, however. We ate breakfast every day at Tunche de Luna and the flavors were incredible. We also had lunch here one day that was excellent! We did the exclusive cenote dinner. The atmosphere was next level. Incredibly romantic. Harp player set up next to the waterfall. The food was very good, not excellent. I'd still very much recommend doing it as it is such a unique experience. We tried Kibi Kibi at Arte for lunch. We also had a great experience here. Ambiance is just ok, but the food was very good! Our last night we had dinner at Ha, at Xcaret Mexico Hotel. We were so confused on how this received a Michelin star...it should have received multiple. We recently dined at Per Se in NYC and this blew it out of the water. It's possibly the BEST meal we have ever had. Not a single course was just OK. The service was top notch as well. Not to mention, as a CDLP guest, it's included in your fare (otherwise it's roughly $250pp). Ha is not to be missed! Parks- We spend a morning at both Xplor and Xcaret. We had a wonderful time at both parks. I was under the impression that guests at CDLP get line bypass benefits at Xplor, but that was an incorrect assumption. We had an awesome time at Xplor, but lines were long at times. So bring your patience. Xcaret park was also wonderful. Definitely for the nature lovers. We did the river Azul swim and it was a blast. You definitely could spend 2 days at Xcaret park and not see it all. We would come back again in a heartbeat. You will be so well taken care of. And the food. We would come back just for that! Thank you Casa de la Playa!

    A beautiful oasis for relaxation

This place is the perfect beach escape. It’s peaceful, luxurious, and scenic. Contemporary, spacious rooms with every amenity & the most comfortable bed & heavenly shower! You could have an amazing stay without leaving your room, but, don’t miss out on the incredible restaurants! It’s truly a foodie paradise! I’ve never seen such amazing food at an all inclusive resort! We ate breakfast at Tuch de Luna & Xal, had poolside appetizers, & ate dinner at Chino Poblano (Xcaret Arte), Ha (Xcaret Mexico), Lumbre, & did the Tuch de Luna full moon dinner. All were incredible! Service across all aspects of the resort is impeccable. Our butlers Laura & Memo were at your beck & call! Very simple to communicate & make requests via WhatsApp. While you could probably walk between the resorts- no need- complementary black car service is provided! We enjoyed the spa & hydrotherapy, the experience was practically its own excursion! Choose your pool & view- all good options from your personal infinity pool in your room, the expansive infinity pool jutting out over the beach, or the rooftop infinity pool.

Second stay at Casa De La Playa

This was our second time visiting Casa De La Playa. Last February 24’ & this March 25’. Both terrific weather months to visit Mexico. Upon arriving at this resort, the lobby & view is breathtaking. Live harp playing. Very dreamy. Check in process they have you take a seat, offer a non alcoholic welcome drink. Each fill out some paper work. Then the butler arrives shortly after to take you to the room. They do message a lot of menus & spa services to WhatsApp which you use to communicate with butler. Sometimes it can be overwhelming all of the messages coming in each day. I know personally I am on vacation and do not want to be using my brain thinking and texting multiple times a day. Though I appreciate the attentiveness at times. The menus were pretty much all the same as last year. Love the breakfast & pool menus. Dinner menus can be a bit interesting offering of beef, tongue, grasshoppers, and even ant eggs. Very unique items sometimes we’re not in the mood to try things so different. We did leave the resort one night so we were able to get a great steak dinner off of the resort. We were able to use a taxi that they arranged at extra cost no problem. They offer different experience dinners that you will pay extra for. Last year we did a cenote dinner, in which the location was absolutely romantic and beautiful. The menu options were not really edible for us. The wine pairing was cheap. This year we did a beach dinner which the set up was absolutely romantic and beautiful. The dinner was very good. The wine not so much. The dinners can be $500+ extra for certain experiences. They charged for wine, which I would not have drank. We thought drinks were included in this all inclusive resort. My husband booked this trip last October. He did not receive any emails on planning our trip. He also did not receive a email regarding airport transportation. So he went ahead and emailed them the week before our trip and then we were able to arrange the airport transportation. The price you pay for this vacation you would think they would email you ahead of time in preparation. Our last night at the resort, we noticed a beautiful set up on the beach and a completely different beautiful set up by the pool. I asked our butler what the beach set up and pool set up was for. She notified us that it was a full moon ceremony & full moon dinner. I asked if there was availability as we would love to go. She advised us that they were both fully booked. We were pretty bummed out because we would have loved to attend something so special. She told us the full moon experience books out months in advance. I asked why weren’t we given a notification of upcoming events when we booked 6 months ago? She gave her apologies. We were surprised to hear they offer this experience to off resort guests. So ones that got to attend this experience were not even guests of the hotel. I think that is a bit unfair for the guests staying there. They can really improve in service in this regard. Disappointing. I don’t blame the butlers for this fail. But I do the management & owner. The owner lives at the resort & so does his son. I’ve been face to face with the owner each time. Each time barely a smile. No communication. Kind of cold energy. You would think an owner seeing everything, every day seeing guest in such a small boutique hotel he would be interested in knowing how people are feeling while staying there. Maybe a hello/hola. Last years visit we noticed a fairly large group of 10 people enter the resort & go to pool. Very loud, whistling, screaming names from across the way, almost barbarian like. Typically the pool is very tranquil. Everyone is respecting each other‘s personal space and keeping the Zen like vibe to it all. This group didn’t do that. We were surprised to see again this year, the same exact group. This time after they were leaving the pool bathroom, we noticed they left it pretty dirty, pee on toilet, etc.. again very barbarian like. No respect of other people‘s space. We were asking the wait staff about these people because we remembered them last year. The staff notified us that it was the owners family, they are there often and get to come for free to use the resort. That is fantastic they get to experience such a beautiful resort for nothing, all while the guests are paying lots of money to be there. It takes away the five star for us. It’s a bunch of people that do not belong there, do not know how to act properly. Mixed with a bunch of people that do belong there and do you know how to act properly. Might sound mean to some, but the truth is the truth. Why are certain people experiencing this resort at the cost of nothing because it’s the owner’s family? When we have to work so hard to experience such a “luxury”? This resort property is absolutely stunning. The art work. The spa. It’s all so visually incredible. The service is lacking. Again I do not blame the butlers for this. I think the owner should care more than he does. And improvement. We will be looking into different 5 star hotel next time to compare. Give it a 4 star all day.

    Casa de la playa…AMAZING

Casa de la playa was the best vacation we have ever had. We travel frequently and are fans of small, intimate, and quality food and service all inclusives. This is one of the best we’ve experienced. From the food to the views, cleanliness, service, and special touches…all was fantastic. Special thank you to our butler service- Laura and Memo. Both of them were so helpful and always supportive and thoughtful. We will be back next year!
