An unforgettable Mexican resort experience!
My wife and I spent 5 nights at La Casa De La Playa for anniversary this November and it was one of the best vacations we’ve ever taken. This was one of the most beautiful resorts we’ve ever visited—and it was amazing how the rooms, amenities, and common spaces were designed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding nature. The culinary experiences were also unparalleled (both at the included neighboring resort restaurants and especially at the La Casa De La Playa exclusive restaurants). The highlight of the trip was service provided by the La Casa De La Playa staff, especially our butlers Guillermo and Silvia. The entire staff was warm and welcoming but Guillermo (Memo) anticipated our every need and went above and beyond (from surprises in the room to arranging a guided tequila tasting) to ensure our stay was unforgettable. We can’t recommend this resort enough and we will definitely be returning soon!

A boutique resort with a lot of heart
This was our third visit in three years to La Casa de la Playa and it did not disappoint. One of the strongest attributes of this boutique resort is its consistent attention to service and detail. We began this trip with emails with Nicole in guest services - she graciously helped me make dining reservations and confirm transportation - always answering my questions or requests for changes the same day I sent them. We were greeted at the airport by our driver Augusto who was charming and engaging. He welcomed us back and even knew it was our third visit without us telling him that. We arrived at the resort and our request for a corner room was granted with a smile. The rest of our week there went off without a hitch - our butler team Celeste and Abraham met every one of our requests promptly and efficiently. They helped us with dining reservations, transportation and scheduling art classes at the resort next door -- mostly in the most unobtrusive way possible with whatsapp texts. There are 63 rooms at this hotel but it never feels like it. I am not sure where all of the people go - but you can always find a chair by the pool and the restaurants never feel crowded. We did not have a bad meal the entire week. We went to Centli once and Lumbre twice - our waiter was Gustavo for all three visits. Gustavo was incredibly knowledgeable and also remembered all of our likes/dislikes each time we visited. He was the consummate host and did a great job guiding us through our meal options and creating a relaxing dinner experience. We revisited Ha over at Arte (the larger resort next door) and really liked the new menu. We had been in 2022 and thought the menu was a bit too fussy for us and the portions were all miniscule. After seeing great reviews, we decided to try it again and were pleased to find a really well balanced, interesting meal that did not leave us looking to order room service after we left. The Monday night beach dinner was a lovely experience; we dined on the beach with the waves crashing nearby. The food was good, especially the sides that they serve. The Omakase meal at Tah Xido was amazing as it was in the past. It is a free benefit for La Casa guests and a lot of fun to experience a huge range of sushi. Morning breakfasts at Tuch de Luna were consistently good -- nice range of menu options plus a small buffet. The food at the pool and sky bar was solid -- and they are happy to bring you whatever you want, even if it is not on the menu. We also went to the Sunday brunch at Las Cuevas next door - another free benefit. It was quite the spectacle and a great way to sample many local traditional foods. The room was maintained beautifully, housekeeping always managed to come by when we were out to make up the room and to turn it down each evening and leave us small gifts. Many days they also surprised us with treats like a bottle of champagne and chocolates or a bottle of mezcal and some accompaniments. Because they knew we were celebrating our anniversary, they decorated our room one evening to commemorate the event. This year it seemed like they had even more live music scattered around the resort. Each evening they had a very talented pianist in the lobby playing covers. At breakfast, they rotated music each day - a harpist one day, a guitarist/oboe combo the next, etc. Again, so much attention to all of the little details that impact the guest experience. The large resorts next door are a five minute walk away down a special path and through a very secure door way. You can walk over and sample whatever you would like - art classes, kayaking, the night club and then walk back "home" when you are ready. It really is the best of both worlds. My only criticism in my review last year was that the beach did not have chairs - only mats under umbrellas. I am pleased to report that the resort now has padded chairs on the beach. This was a huge improvement. We loved the quiet of the beach and Santos did a great job making sure everyone has drinks and food there. We love to try out new resorts but La Casa de la Playa has earned a place in our hearts and we will likely return next year to visit our home away from home in Mexico.

Xcaret continues to outdo itself
Everything at Casa is amazing, the food and dining experiences blows your mind. It's quiet and relaxing, all of the staff is bending over backwards to help. We visited Ha, Centli and Estero. I recommend the wine pairings. We had fun stopping by the mezcal room and chocolate bar. Muluk spa was very relaxing. We stayed in the presidential suite, it was gorgeous, so spacious. Two couples have so much space it feels like your alone when you want to be but has many outdoor and indoor areas for meals or relaxation. I can't recommend enough

Heaven in Xcaret
Wonderful, relaxed luxury. All the staff was very attentive and bent over backwards to make our stay special. Special call out to Miguel at the wet bar and Kevin in the lobby bar who encouraged to try new food and cocktails. Great barmen there as well. Also huge thanks to Kyoshi and Laura who helped with a spot of shopping and were always attentive to our needs.
