Book at your own risk!
They sure want you to spend your money! I didn't even get the room I booked. I got a lesser room, all for the same price! The pool closes at 2100. The rooms are FREEZING, and there is no way to adjust the temperature. I stayed under blankets and a towel when I was in the room. There is very little tolerance for people who are not fluent in Spanish. Your meal will be later than Spanish-speakers. Gluten-free, dairy-free is almost impossible. I'm not sure the cups are adequately washed in potable water between serving guests. Do yourself a favor. Look for a resort that is not Mexican-owned, and you will probably have a much better experience. Our daughter used the spa, and she said it was exceptional. One good thing in a week!

Not what we expected
Series of small issues that spoiled our stay. No towels in room and took 3 calls before they arrived. No internet available for about 14 hours, real first world problem. Drain in bathroom blocked and need a plumber to clear. Safe did not work due to a flat battery. Asked for a plug converter and told they had one and it would be delivered to room, then subsequently told they did not have one. Food in Krystal Grand quite poor and dinks tasted watered down. This was supposed to be a treat, turned out to be a nightmare. Definitely would not come back.

Ok resort, more for retirement community
Property itself is not bad, seems to cared for. Rooms are spacious, but my biggest issue with the bathroom - glass door that does not close nor does it give you privacy to do your business. Staff is friendly enough but noone really went out of their way to help or solve issues. Bar and beach Manager was super nice to us - gave a free cabana day after we have been paying about $55 CAD per day - because unless you are up at 5 am you will not get a spot on the beach, and if you walk away from your spot they will move your stuff off... Buffet was ok, variety is there, but it became boring as we were there for 2 weeks. Alcohol is awful, cheapest of the cheapest, could not drink on the resort. Entertainment - was mediocre, they tried, so kudos (Michael Jackson, Fire Show - typical of all resorts) Karaoke every night was hilarious and fun - people are brave and really tried, so kudos. Some folks are really good at it. Beach - to get a chair or a spot on the beach was literally a war zone, not enough sun beds at all. Swimming in the ocean was decent and actually the fun part, waves are huge, so you better be a good swimmer. Biggest plus was sunsets are absolutely stunning, so make sure to catch these. Crowd is mostly retirement folks and some families. P.S. Restaurants outside the property absolutely delish, on top of our vacation package we spent tons in restaurants, because they have way better food - Argentinian Stake house; Barcelona Tapas (in the City) ; Porfirio's Vallarta and Dolce Vita for pizza

What a disaster
I just came back and I’m very disappointed. This place needs to be completely remodeled, rooms are in horrible shape. AC doesn’t work, hot water barely works and sealing is literally falling on you. What a waste of time and money. Food is even worse! I survived on eggs and hot dogs! That is ridiculous! For all inclusive this place deserves 0 stars. They don’t even have toasters! We ate at Italian place across the street! Don’t waste your money on this establishment, spend your money somewhere else. I’m not going there ever again, I guarantee it. It’s a shame, since location is good, beach is igood, but everything else’s is complete garbage.

Wonderful staff and food. Beautiful beach access, small beds
Absolutely wonderful service! Staff were great, buffets were wonderful. Antonio with activities was super fun and inviting. Luis, Wence, Daniel were wonderful poolside and so many awesome servers in the restaurants. Only thing that was unfortunate was the ice cream machine didn’t work from Sunday to Wednesday, beds were full size not queen as advertised and the a la carte restaurants were extremely slow to bring out appetizers and food so we were at dinner for 2-2.5 hours on those nights.
