Beware Time Share Presentation and Internet
We have been owners since 1995. Two complaints: For the past year and this year we have attended an owners update with Wyndham. Each time we were promised a $100 gift card or this year a gift card by email. When we complained at the activities desk that we had not received the $100, we were advised that they have to look into the situation. Nothing. No response. Secondly: The internet is terrible. Last year we had the supreme coverage and it was still terrible This year it says it will cover 4 devices, but you have to sign in multiple times per day for the same devices

Trip to paradise
The Kona coast resort condo was spacious and well equipped for a pleasant vacation experience. We stayed in 2 bedroom 2 bath master has king bed with in suite bath, guest room has two double beds. Kitchen well stocked with most kitchen utensils. Condo was clean ( with exception of guest bath shower) furniture was modern but could use upholstery cleaning. We stayed in building #28 room #201 Air condition cost $13 per day, parking is free Resort has 267 rooms, 2 pools, 3 jacuzzi’s restaurant and bar on site. The resort is impeccably landscaped . Would rate our stay at Kona coast resort a 9 out of 10, would definitely go back.

Milestone birthday celebration
Great resort for multi generational family vacation, spacious clean comfortable units. Good home base for exploring the island.

December 2024
We are timeshare owners with a different company and came here on an exchange. I was apprehensive about visiting this resort after reading many reviews, and what I found after my week stay is the following: I read about multiple cockroaches in rooms, and luckily we only found 2, and 1 was outside. The rooms are very dated and smell extremely musty. We aired the room out daily and left the cupboard doors open as they smelled the worst. Having to pay for air conditioning is absolutely ridiculous, we didn't, but, as someone who suffers from MS, I thought about it, but did not want to suffer a sore throat. We found this resort extremely noisy, there is a playground for kids and lots of outdoor activities, but every night they ran around the parking lot, right outside our bedroom window, yelling, screaming and throwing balls around. I did make a complaint to guest services and was met with "it's not quiet time yet" but I told them that i was also concerned about their proximity to our rental car and the fact that another kid said "look, that window is down, lets throw poop in it" (not our car thankfully, and maybe cat poop?) Anyways, they did send security out on the golf cart but instead of being tactful about it, we heard them tell the parents "someone complained" and "ya I know, ba humbug". People definitely do not respect others here, at all, not all of us are kid/noise people, and most forget that this is a shared space. We tried to visit the restaurant on site near the pool, but after sitting for 15 minutes without even a "hello" and not being able to hear each other speak, we left and went elsewhere. The walls, ceilings, everything, is very thin, like paper thin. I wasn't sure if the neighbors above were people or a herd of cattle. Our second last night was the absolute worst night ever as people checked in at 1:30 am and their kids decided to make their room a playground. You here every, and i mean EVERY step people make. There is absolutely no ocean view from the rooms as you are surrounded by a golf course, to which we found numerous golf balls daily on our patio, if you are on the bottom floors, as we were, people walk across the grass, instead of on the walking path, which is so close to you and your seating area, they might as well come inside. We were on the bottom floor because there is ZERO elevators and the three flights up is not feasible for everyone including my 80yr old mother travelling with us ( they originally had us on the 3rd floor). The washing machine is so loud, it sounds like it's ready to take off and the dishwasher is extremely temperamental. I also read about how pushy the concierge desk is in regards to attending time share presentations and receiving a "free week", yes they were, and asking for our credit card number (we did not provide it) even after explaining multiple times that we are owners, they consistently called us, both on our cell phones and in the room, and, made appointments for us to attend presentations we never agreed to, this was beyond irritating, ignorant, and rude. Check out is 10am, at 9:20, housekeeping rolled up with their cart and supplies, sat on the steps and stared into the kitchen window waiting for us to leave. I was literally finishing washing up breakfast dishes and we had lots of time. If that doesnt say "hurry up and get the hell out", i dont know. We will definitely visit this island again, but will never return to this resort.

Not up to expectations
Resort was a bit of a disappointment. Needs a lot of attention. Wifi not good, no smart TV or audio. Two small pools for a huge amount of units and restaurant was below average. Pushed into Sales presentation with no compensation. Only really good thing was its location.
