Great couples getaway!
My husband and I decided on Reef House as a place to have a babymoon, celebrating the upcoming arrival of our first little one! The resort is beautiful and kept very clean. You can tell it’s a bit older, but very well-kept. The staff were generally friendly. We loved the pool and beach area, both were very relaxing especially with the live music in the afternoons. The food at Gus’s was good, but the service was a bit slow. We did appreciate having the breakfast deal where it was included in the price of our room, as well as the credits we could get for both dinner and for the spa. We did a couples massage, and while my husband said he got the “best hot stone massage ever”, my prenatal massage was just okay. My masseuse must’ve not read the questionnaire I filled out beforehand cause she missed some areas I thought she would get to. But it was still relaxing. My only real complaint was there were people vaping and smoking in public areas (the pool) and on their balconies. One night we couldn’t sit on our balcony cause someone was smoking in a room near us (which I don’t need to be breathing in being 6 months pregnant!) I also think the rooms could have been a tad cleaner and treated for bugs (we had some gnats). Overall it was a lovely stay and I would stay again.

Old & worn - down
Old & worn - down, zero service but still pricey: truly bizar people still come here. Not only the rooms are a joke, but try to get a bite to eat after a long flight… we got in the car and ate elsewhere..Some things should be iether re - done or closed.

Poor experience
I went with my family recently. Poorly satisfied. Costumer service only good at restaurant and stores but the front desk and pool bar costumer service is really bad. They don’t treat everyone equally. A bartender at the pool bar neglects the line with bad attitude . Sorry ladies, very poor lighting in the rooms. Iron in our room was useless. The handle of the shower head was falling. Overall, rooms need improvement. The only positive is that it has a nice view in a good location.

Lovely place...better for families than for couples.
This place is very nice but falls short of being great. It has a beautiful ocean view with well kept buildings, a large, fun pool and comfortable well equipped rooms. Check in was quick and easy, there is ample parking, and the upper floors have elevator access. There are plenty of available lounges in sun or shade poolside and beachside. Most days there was musical entertainment either by the pool or in the Breezes Bar during happy hour. The pool was filled with young kids but there were some more private places near the beach to get away from the noise. There are soda vending machines and ice on each floor and a coffee maker and refrigerator in each room. There are several nice places to grab food without going off property. On the downside; the beach is small and going in the water involves wading through muck and seaweed. The rooms lack soundproofing (we could hear every word uttered from next door). If a neighbor is having a conversation on the balcony, they might as well be in your room. At night you could hear cars traveling down Route 1 if you left the windows open. The lunch menu was ok but remained exactly the same every day at every restaurant on site for the 5 days we were there. We enjoyed our stay there despite the shortcomings but probably would try another option next time.

Perfect Get Away
Spent 5 days at this resort. An old Marriott hotel with nicely updated rooms. Bathroom needed a couple tweaks but otherwise perfect. No need to rush to “save” beach chairs; plenty of poolside and beach lounge chairs as well as hammocks and beach chairs scattered throughout the property overlooking the bay. A couple of gas fire pits to enjoy in the evening. Great cocktails and food at the pool bar. We did not have dinner at the resort restaurant, thought it a little pricey with limited menu selections. A small reasonably priced gift shop on the property as well as an onsite marina offering scuba/ snorkeling tours and eco and sunset cruises.
