Amazing ! Highlight of our trip - Pirates Cove Private Boat Charter with Capt Deb
Resort was amazing ! It had everything we could ever want, wonderful food, great accommodations, beautiful sunsets and warm, friendly employees. Highlight of our trip - Pirates Cove 2 1/2 Hour Private Boat Charter with Captain Deb ! Her knowledge of the "back country" waters, her expertise and her friendly personality were all a welcomed surprise to us. My husband and I went there for some rest and relaxation and she impressed us beyond belief. She is an ECO expert of the Keys and can navigate even the windiest conditions ! She took us to a few private islands and even to some of her favorite secret spots. What a wonderful get away ! Thank you to everyone at the Reefhouse Resort and Marina !

Relaxing week in the Keys
Stayed for a week in March 2025. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The bed was extremely comfortable, however the couch was not pleasant to sit on. A previous reviewer mentioned bugs in his room, but we never saw one. Nor did we notice any noise from the highway. The heated pool is a nice touch, especially when the temps are in the mid 70's. Gus' Grille has outstanding food. We purchased the breakfast package and enjoyed a variety of options that never disappointed. We also had dinner several times at the Grille and were very pleased.

Lack of information of major road closures
I have been to the Reef House several times and always enjoyed my visit, however this last trip could have been better. Overall, it was fine, but I was just there during the brush fires that closed US 1, and I feel like the hotel could have handled things better. We found out about the fires and road closure by a waiter at a local restaurant. When we returned to our room, the internet and tv were out. Had to call the front desk to find out the cable was out for the entire area due to the fires. Not the fault of the hotel, however I felt it would have been a nice gesture to offer a free drink at the tiki bar or some other small extra for the inconvenience of no tv for almost 24 hours (and , yes, I asked). Not having a tv wasn’t a big deal for us, but people with kids probably felt it in the evenings. Also, the fact that they made zero effort to let guests know about the fires and road closures wasn’t cool. Considering US1 is basically the only way out and if you didn’t know what was going on, there was a very good chance you would never make it out of the Keys in time for a flight home. They should have made an effort to let guests know what was happening. Thankfully we left a day early and spent the night in Miami. It took us 5 hours to get to Miami due to being caught in US1 being closed.

Key Largo Resort
We really enjoyed our stay at the Reefhouse Resort. Our room was ready when we arrived. Clean, exactly as described with a lovely view. Pool and beach area are great. Ate at Gus’s Grille for breakfast two days. Food was what you would expect at a resort but the view is spectacular. Enjoyed happy hour at Breezer’s. LOVED the nightly turn-down service! Felt very high end. Grounds are very clean and there’s a few restaurants within walking distance. Would definitely consider Reefhouse in the future.

I would stay again.
The resort was lovely. The rooms are spacious and immaculate. The beds and pillows were so comfortable. I'm like the princess and the pea. So, a comfortable bed is really important to me. The staff was very accommodating. I'm gluten free and found the resort menu a challenge. I'm a tea drinker and wasn't able to have tea in the room because the Nespresso machine only made coffee and not hot water. All in all it was a wonderful stay.
