Not the JW i have come to know.
I am a long time visitor to this hotel and usually have a great experience. This year they put me in a room beside the laundry and the elevator. Someone put some tennis shoes in the dryer while I was trying to sleep. I called the front desk and the first person who answered hung up on me. I called back and got an endless busy signal. After a long time, I finally got a receptionist who blew me off saying that they had no available rooms. I persisted and she finally sent me to the night manager who took care of it immediately. Than you Andy! But this was not a JW Experience. It needs to be fixed.

Outstanding Marco Island Resort
This is the third time we have stayed here and will come back for more! The staff at this hotel were amazing. A special shoutout to Nagat Khali who took the time and care to make sure our stay was comfortable and memorable. She is a gem! The entire staff, including the bellmen, housekeeping, waitstaff, concierge, bar tenders...all were very friendly and professional. We stayed in a "Sirene" room in the Lanai tower and it was exceptional. The food in all the restaurants we ate at was very good. Our room was large and well appointed with great views of the Gulf. It is in an outstanding location and has a beautiful & quiet adults only pool with an additional adults only section on the beach. Without a doubt, this will be our go to place the next time we visit Marco Island. Thank you, and keep up the good work!!!

Not a true 5 star resort
I stayed here for a quick overnight with a Marriott Bonvoy certificate, so I think I had I got a fair value for what I experienced. However, I absolutely wouldn't pay a full rate at this property considering the various flaws it has, nor would I recommend it to anyone at the price they command. This resort, the JW Marriott brand and its rate is marketed as a true 5 star luxury resort but unfortunately the experience felt more like a high end 4 star resort. While I appreciate the upgrade to the beautiful 2 bedroom Lanai Suite, the accommodation alone cannot compensate for the old, beat up and dingy sun loungers in the beach and pool, the lack of service in the pool area (there was no servers to be found while in the beach there is always someone going around in the buggy to see if we needed anything), the mediocre breakfast (what 5 star hotel doesn't have freshly squeezed juices?), not able to purchase less than $25 worth of credits at the arcade, no beach attendants to help with beach chairs, umbrella and towels, overcharged me for parking (which the kind front desk lady was able to help with) and the fact that as a hotel guest you are NOT able to access the spa facilities without a spa appointment (imagine a customer paying $600 for standard room, plus the mandatory $55+tax resort fee, and are denied access to use the sauna because they don't want to pay an extra $250 for a 60min massage). The hotel also failed to deliver a serene, welcoming and luxurious environment since we were awoken at 6am by the fire drill, surrounded by hundreds of conference goers during the entirety of our stay and also older Trumpster everywhere wearing Trump/MAGA

Great photoshoot with photography concierge
Had a wonderful trip - also used Macarena with Photography Concierge for a beach photoshoot and had a great experience. Love all of our pictures and got them all same day in just a few hours. She was wonderful to work with and made it so fun for us!
