Who gets the cleaning fee me or them?
In unit 2030, showed up to no toilet paper, only two towels. Took a shower and walked around the unit and the bottom of my feet were black. WTH. That is just nasty. I will update after I check the bed tonight. And I’m really paying a cleaning fee of $174.

Great hotel and location a short distance from Waikiki
Great hotel. Probably needs a refurbishment. Lovely vibe around the hotel. Pick your room well. Many of the lower, road facing floors are noisy. Only single pane glass! Rooms were adequate. Comfy bed. Again apts are older so if you’re used to 5 star hotels stop complaining. Lifts are great but older and always a fun ride meeting other guests. Best coffee downstairs and great staff. Restaurant was expensive with auto tips for parties of 6. Parking across the way is cheaper than onsite. 10 min walk to Ala Moana bach park best beach, Ala Moana mall also for amazing bargains. Waikiki Beach a 15min walk. Ubers are great as is walking.. Pool was nice but busy with kids and deep. Overall a great stay. Get a nice high floor ocean view room. Best sunsets. We had the strike on next door which was noisy as hell. Banging pots and pans from 630am-10pm. I agree your pay was low but no need to disrupt the hundreds of people staying nearby who possibly were paid similarly but had saved for months to enjoy a short break. Hawaii is expensive now. We were glad it was settled. A difficult situation for all.

More a miss than hit this stay.
I guess not particularly the hotels fault but the protesting next door was enough to drive you crazy. 7am to after 6pm continuously all day every day. If the protests are happening don't book a ocean side view room. Not worth the headache. We booked through waikiki beach rentals so do not expect any service from lobby. In fact the woman was darn right rude when we asked her a question about checking in...Sunday morning 27th oct. Then the pool woman was bossy when we moved a chair out of the sun....yelling at us to move it back. Are you for real? A real miss this time staying here. Will definitely look else where next trip

Average hotel for above average cost.
It was an average experience, the view was amazing but that's about it. There really is nothing "luxury" about this hotel, I would say it's an average hotel that the cost is not justified. I've stayed at similarly priced hotels around the world and there should've just been a little more effort put into the experience.

Okay Stay At An Aging Property
The property is aging and it is noticeable in the rooms. We stayed in a 2-bedroom suite but it was tight with small bedrooms. The beds are on the firm side, the pillows are small, and the amenities are minimal. They use mini-splits for A/C and when we arrived our suite (3 units) was in the high 70's and it took most of the night to cool down to a comfortable temperature. There was ZERO ventilation or air circulation in the bathrooms and the water pressure was low. There are not blackout curtains in the living space and a lot of heat comes through the windows. We were on the 2nd floor and had to visit other guest floors to use the laundry machines (pay per load).
