Warning 50% Great 50% Horrible
After visiting 25 All Inclusive resorts this one had very mixed reviews from a group of 13 from Canada. Overall, a 3.5 star resort but needs a lot of improvement. Cons Safety issues with bunk bed. Warning the bunk bed came crashing down in the middle of the night with my daughter on top. Fortunately my son was in my bed or else he would have died being crushed to death. Luckily only minor issues. Another safety issue with crib with bottom falling down with baby in it. Fortunately low to ground and no issues but baby would never use crib again. Food poisoning for 5 out of 13 guests with severe stomach issues. Staff were hit and miss with some going above and beyond and others with poor attitude. Pros The beach and sand is beautiful with no seaweed and clean conditions and warm water. Lots of chairs, food and drinks available. The buffet had a great variety of food and all meals tasted very good. The water activities for the kids were great with a nice lazy river, water slides and wave pool. The entertainment staff were great and lots of fun activities throughout the day and night.

Family fun vacation
The resort is massive and beautiful. We easily walked 18,000 steps a day. Check in was very easy and we were upgraded to a jacuzzi suite upon arrival nice. The room was very clean and spacious. The small fridge was restocked daily with pop and beer. The hotel has filtered water stations all over the resort and there are two glass bottles for you to refill in your room. The pools and water park was a big hit for our grandchildren 10,12. The are plenty of pool chairs and we had no problems getting 6 together in the areas we chose. There are plenty of place to get a drink and they do serve people around the pools and beach. The beach is beautiful and the ocean is warm. We enjoyed playing in the waves near the shore. You must watch yourself and the kids as the waves do get quite large. The ocean floor in the area we swam in had a sandy bottom so no water shoes required. There is a lifeguard on duty and the red flag was out every day. The beach is patrolled by the Mexican Army so we felt comfortable and safe. There are plenty of chairs and bar and a burger stand there as well. There many trash pandas near the garbage disposal be careful they do get aggressive. 1 took my granddaughters hamburger right off her chair. The Restaurants we could get into were very good. But the buffets we small and repetitive The time share bandits are annoying especially the ones in the lobby you have to be firm in saying NO Thanks!! The one made me mad and I told him so he walked away and never bothered us again. All and all we had a great holiday and I would return at some point Beach 5 rooms 5 hotel 4 the restaurants 5 the buffet 3 the entertainment 4 but it gets very loud in the theatre 130 decibels according to the Apple Watch Wifi 5

Not good at all.
This resort checked all our boxes heading down. After arrival the food at the buffet was constantly cold. Drinks were ok… Coaties a serious problem. Last 4 days one of my sons and myself got really sick. On the 7 hour flight home my 1 year old, wife and other son all got severely sick. They had to give oxygen and call a doctor from satellite phone. The staff says it’s all best produce…. But it really isn’t, fruit was all mushy and like I said earlier by the time you grabbed food on your plate and sat down it was ice cold. Grounds are great, wave pool was fun, pools are not heated and too cold to be in before 3 pm. We all stayed at Hyatt riviera cancun the previous year and that was a 5 star for similar price and food/drinks top notch. I would not recommend this resort.

Fun & SUN Family Vacation at Paraiso Lindo
Had a lovely experience with our family of 4. My wife , 10 & 12 year old son & daughter. This was our first time as a family at an all exclusive & we were pleasantly surprised. The ground's were beautiful & kept very clean. Our cleaning staff was lovely & made towel characters on the beds for our kids. Food was good & lots of choices, our son is allergic to gluten & although some things took time to get for him they did accommodate & had lots of GF options over all. The waterslides & pools were FUN!!! our kids were never out of the water, the pool & Bar staff were very polite & made great Drink ;-) as well kids felt comfortable approaching staff. Lots of kid activities & star camp if you want a little break for adult time. Enjoy the Cotis (funny racoon like creatures that roam free & entertain). Peacocks, resident monkey & a couple of cats. all very neat to observe but watch your food) Beaches were clean & no pressure from beach sellers. They walk by & if interested they will engage but other wise leave you alone. watch out for Red flags (jelly fish warning) water was warm & sand was soft. Shout out to my Taxi Driver Eliseo; when I had a minor medical issue that took me to the hospital. Eliseo was a class act driver & made me feel very comfortable & waited for me until i was done at Cancun hospital. Paraiso has there own staff taxi drivers, GREAT service & not excessively expensive. The medical clinic on the grounds & staff were very pleasant & helpful, knowledgeable of insurance plans, provided good communication. Over all very positive experience & we would go back.

Food poisoning
Stayed at the Lindo, I arrived 12/08 left 12/14. Weds 12/11, I started to feel sick in the late afternoon and I started to vomit and have severe Diarrhea coming out from both ends at the same time for over 12x. My husband called the doctor to come to our room because I could not get off the floor. The doctor arrived and told me that I needed to be taken to the hospital because I was projecting bile at that point and was dehydrated. When the ambulance arrived they gave me an IV and took me to the hospital in Cancun that is affiliated with the doctors on site. I had to stay over night because I was severely dehydrated and they had to monitor my pregnancy. While all this was happening, my toddler also started to throw up and ended up needing a shot, antibiotics and probiotics. When I was finally able to check out and come back to the resort, I brought it up to the concierge attention, he showed no empathy . His response was “we have the freshest products and we follow health protocols. It could have came from the water or the weather.” I said the filtered water you swear won’t make people sick? Because I didn’t drink pool or beach water . He said he would talk to the manager. When I spoke to the manager the next day, she had also had no empathy for what I went through. I told her the doctor in the hospital, said my bacteria was really high and it was caused by something I ate or drank. She said she can’t do anything for me because my report only states I had high bacteria in my system and not a specific bacteria that can be blamed on their food. I believe the hospital purposely left the details out because they have a contract with the hotel and leaving out this important information allows the hotel to take on any responsibility. They also take you to a private hospital 40 mins away because they have a contract rather than a close public hospital. We ate at the buffet the night before during the gala night so it had to be something from there. My husband also has stomach issues but not as severe. I constantly used the hand sanitizers by the entrance of the buffet, never left the resort, didn’t drink any virgin frozen drinks, and only ate food that are approved by my obgyn (ie avoiding things like sushi). The manager offered an upgraded room, late check out, and to eat at a restaurant of our choice. Our response was it’s our last night, we leave at 11 am tomorrow and we just want to eat crackers. I understand it is hard for the hotel to pinpoint what caused this issue but I believe they still should have take a report of what I ate/time/place. They didn’t give a crap about me well being which turned me off from ever going back. I posted this on their fb page and a lot of people also wrote they were sick but not as severe.
