Veronica @ Iberostar lobby
Veronica Chavez moreno is so lovely and fun! We loved having her as part of our night!! Thank you for the smiles and the fun. Great drinks and atmosphere. We played cards in the lobby and she was so attentive to our needs. So great getting to know staff like Veronica.

A nice resort, but dated and in need of maintenance
The grounds were nice, but the crumbling pool bar needs repair. A chunk of concrete fell off while we were in the pool, which could have potentially hurt somebody. Thankfully it didn't, but you could see that it was far from the first piece to fall off. The myriad of water features was pleasant and the layout was easy to navigate after day one. The rooms were a disappointment. Dirty and musty, everything was always moist. I can imagine it is difficult to maintain an HVAC system in this environment but they decidedly failed. It is not fun to crawl into a wet bed. The staff was excellent at all times. The servers and bartenders were nice, personable, and accommodating. The bartenders at the pool bar were fun and made whatever we wanted. We rented cabanas a few days and the pool concierge was great, but the service was so slow you could get a drink from the pool bar and finish it before one came from the servers. Food was as ok as you would expect at a mid-level all-inclusive. The buffet always had something you could enjoy. The Mexican restaurant was nothing short of terrible. The tacos were ok, but the fried items were hard as a rock, the guacamole looked like it came from a can, and the margaritas were so sour they were undrinkable. The hibachi was fine but I've had better in middle America. The steakhouse was pretty good all around, with good starters and sides. Overall, it was a decent enough resort but I'm not clamoring to go back.

Don’t Go there, the place is not safe. Lack of security and you may get robbed!
The only thing that good in this place was the restaurant servers. It’s the WORST All inclusive hotel ever. We started the first day with the bait and switch attempt by the hotel. We paid for a room and the put us in a lesser room after waiting for it to be ready. We called a couple of times to ask for the right room but they didn’t answer so we had to go down to the front desk and demand that we get the right room. Suddenly it was available it was dusty, and need renovation! Then they tried to sell their membership and waisted our time and we told them from the beginning we don’t by timeshares. The food was mediocre, the pool had rocks in the bottom of it. Then the biggest thing was, we approached by someone inside the property and he told us he works there and sold us and excursion for Valentine’s Day. It turned out he didn’t work there and the place is full of them around the pool and the lobby. We asked the security and the managers how they will allow this , and the answer is there is nothing that they can do about, the pool is a public space and these people come from the beach!!!!! It’s not safe at all , people can get robbed, hurt, killed and No responsibility for the hotel.DO NOT GO THERE!

No a safe place to go to. We got robbed inside the property!
Not All inclusive if you allow strangers to come in and Robb people out of their money.!The manager clearly knows about this situation and we voiced our concern about the safety of the place, that how people get robbed, killed, or rapped and then the property manager tells you it’s a public area around the pool? we were told those people come in from the beach area and nothing they can do about it. We have been in several resorts ,the access to the beach and the hotel are protected!! We paid for an ocean view room and they put us in a different room. We had to call the desk twice and they didn’t answer, so we had to come down there and demand the room we paid for. They tried the Bait and Switch move on us and we insisted on staying in the room we paid for, All of the sudden it was available.

5* stay
Pretty good experience at Iberostar. Michele, Veronica and Isabel made it really memorable. Yes, hotel it’s somehow outdated but not abandoned or damaged like you can read on other reviews here. Very good hospitality, food is great too although bland. We managed to use all restaurants and our suggestions would be to get there before 5:45 as it’s first come first serve. We stayed on the 8th floor and views were breath taking. Would come back again.
