    The Hyatt was beautiful

Other than being made feel like I was beneath the staff at check in the hotel was amazing and we enjoyed our stay. Everything was squeaky clean and comfortable. The view from the room was absolutely amazing.... We sat in the window for a couple hours just gazing out over Wichita

Great quality hotel for the price

Great quality hotel, especially for the price. Very clean. Good location right off the river near the central business district, Intrust Bank Arena, and Delano neighborhood. Onsite restaurant/bar is a great option if you want to stay onsite. This was my third stay at this Hyatt and I would gladly go back for my next visit to Wichita.

    Great stay

Super friendly staff!! clean and pretty hotel. Full Starbucks in the lobby. Good fitness center. Bed was more comfortable than I expected, but not exceptional. Only complaint is the river view isn’t very pretty during the day. Otherwise a great stay!

Serious issues with noise and the way the bar is run

The staff were all very nice. But there were major issues with the noise and the way the bar was run. Noise: I know there is a renovation project going on; they make it clear on their website. But the noise was way beyond what I expected. It was the constant drilling and banging as if you were in the middle of a construction site and not only could you not sleep in, but you could not concentrate on anything in the room. If you are sensitive to the noise, ask them to put you on the floor as far away from the remodeling floor as possible. They say the noise travels through the vent, but my friend on the higher floor heard very little. Or plan not to stay between 8am and 5pm. Otherwise, find another hotel. Food at the bar: The salad and pizza were delicious. But the pasta my friend ordered was undercooked and not edible (they did not charge for it). Worse, on Sunday night at 11pm the guards came in and said the bar was closed and told us to leave immediately in a threatening manner even though we were still eating. First, the order came late because there were some order mistakes. Second, the guard only gave us 5 minutes warning and then came back to literally kick us out. Quite a few guests went to the lobby with drinks and food in their hands as if we were some kind of refugees. By the way, the bar staff was very apologetic. They were obviously understaffed, and I felt sorry for them. I've been to many Hyatt hotels and unfortunately this was the worst experience I've ever had with them.
