    Amazing hotel!

The hotel exceeded our expectations. From the room, the view, and the cleanliness all was top notch! Grace had the best customer service and was beyond kind and helpful. Wish everyone had a Grace! The food from The Shor Restaurant was so good and the view was Waikiki Beach Front!

    Mixed feelings !!

Firstly the Pros : Excellent location … beach facing where u literally cross the road and you are on the Waikiki beach ! The hotel is located on Kalākaua street which is the Main Street that runs all along the coast line in Waikiki , Oahu . Lots of options to eat and shop . The beach is definitely crowded and very touristy so u might wanna venture a bit further away to get a good spot and some solitude . Find the waves here strictly ok though and if u are a surfer you might wanna venture to some other beaches around Oahu . The hotel has some pretty good ocean view as well as ocean facing rooms . Water and ice dispensers on every floor definitely add to the convenience . Now the Cons (which I personally think are more important) : the front desk staff is a bit confused - I say so cos though I am a World of Hyatt member, my points for both my rooms could not be added as I had booked my rooms thru a travel site ! This should not have been a problem as in the past my points have always been added . Surprisingly , every member of the staff had a different explanation to my query ! Secondly , the pool here (like most of the hotels on the beach front here) is very small . For the kind of money paid (and I am a very frequent traveller with a weakness for luxury hotels) the pool here is extremely small. Now fill that up with family and kids & u get a feeling like u are in a school picnic !! There’s too much noise and too much crowd … all u can do is stand still in 5.5 feet of water and rethink your decision to come to the pool . The pool attendant and I have to name him - MIKE is extremely rude and condescending wherein he practically came and scolded us for the sun beds !! Had raised a complaint with the management as well regarding him ! He did leave us with a very sour taste and we actually checked out a day early ! Management was extremely apologetic about this but since we checked out am not aware if any action was taken or not ! (Did actually leave me wondering if Mike would have behaved the same way with some while folks !) The house keeping staff needs to be more proactive ! During my entire stay I didn’t have house keeping staff service my room (and I had NOT kept the Do not disturb sign outside my door) Overall the hotel and its layout , with its close proximity to the beach , the international mall and all the food and shopping outlets … makes a good location to pick . Uber service is cheaper as compared to taxis and easily available at the hotel as it’s quite a prominent place

    Don't go here. I won't again

Don't go here if you expect a decent customer experience. Only go here for the location on the beach. Don't go here if you are a globalist and want a breakfast experience that is worth your status. They overcrowd the lounge and there is no where to sit and the lines for the food are obnoxiously long.

    Great Customer Service

The hotels amenities were top notch and the gym was just what I needed after a long day of working. Hotel staff were very helpful when I wanted to switch rooms due to some plumbing issues, and some issues with elevator noice throughout the night.

    Girls Trip

For any future visits to Waikiki, I would only stay at the Hyatt Regency. The location, facilities and events were amazing. Free yoga, nightly music, farmers markets, there was something for everyone, The rooms are large and spotless and the inclusion of a power board in your room, makes charging a dream
