    Average/OK stay

What they charge for the resort fee is not worth it. It said frozen treats by the pool and there were none. It also said it comes with a bicycle rental credit. We did not get that either. The water bottle is plastic. We were expecting a metal water bottle like at Atlantis in Bahamas. Not sure how plastic is eco-friendly. I think the hotel is OK. I just think it’s way overpriced and the resort fee is ridiculous. The location is great. And being able to use the beach chairs was nice. I just think there are better hotels for the money in Waikiki.

    HYATT ... DON'T TRY IT

Not happy with my stay. Ocean view should be Ocean view, not looking directly into the next tower with an ocean view to your right. This should be a partial ocean view like most hotels advertise. I had to pay extra for what Hyatt called an Ocean Front Room. Room design is horrible, bathroom is not fully private. It's an open design which is fine if your don't need privacy. The beach is located across the street from hotel and was small and crowded with locals and others from nearby hotels. The hotel pool is small for a hotel with two towers at 40 floors each. The Ocean Front view was however spectacular but not worth the upgrade fee. I was very disappointed needless to say.

    Best trip ever

The hotel had an amazing view, we were able to see the beach right from our balcony. The front staff was so accommodating and pleasant, they exceeded my expectations. The breakfast buffet had great food and the staff was so kind. We had such a great time during our stay.

Great stay - would return again!

We stayed at Hyatt Regency for 5 nights and absolutely loved it. We had not yet visited Oahu and were pleased that we were central to Waikiki beach, so many shops and food options - everything was short walking distance! Waking up to the ocean view was amazing, and it was a SUPER cool bonus that the hotel is home to the ONLY Spam vending machine in the world (our family loves Spam)! I would definitely stay here again if I were to visit Waikiki in the future.

Duke Statue is the reference location point for this hotel!

Good hotel for a family or with friends. Beds are comfortable. Reference is the Duke statue....beach is literally across the street. No need to bring beach towels as these are provided. I purchased an ocean view but got a partial ocean view...be sure to really ask for an ocean view upon checking in. Gym is good, used it for 4 days straight, but running on Kalakaua is just as great. Opt for self-parking at a fee, but the garage does get packed by the evening and slots are narrow; best to rent a car and not a van/truck/jeep. A few night markets in the hotel in the evenings to purchase fresh fruit, malasadas (don't get Leonard's, get the Filipino kine)! Lots of places to eat nearby, you won't be disappointed. Valet can get congested around check in/check out times, but that's any where. I asked for late check out for both of my rooms and they accommodated. Sewing kit and tampons were provided as requested. The only thing I didn't try was the spa and pool - no need if you got the beach, the nice weather and food. Aloha!
