Best hotel for the best view of the Gateway arch

The staff in the hotel were spectacular. I was able to get a corner room with an amazing view of the St. Louis Gateway, arch, the Mississippi river, and neighboring state of Illinois. The breakfast at the restaurant was amazing Service was friendly, prompt, and courteous. I would definitely recommend this Hotel, the Hyatt Regency by the Gateway arch

    Walk to the Arch

Great views of the city. Clean rooms, friendly staff, and comfortable beds. Walk across the street to get to the Arch. Highly recommend this hotel, this was a layover for us and we wanted to go up in the Arch while we were in town. This was the perfect location for us!

    Time for a refresh

My room was not very clean, moldy tiles in bathroom and I had a used washcloth in my shower from the previous guest, hanging from the curtain rod. I also had a ask for hand soap. Also, there was no duvet on the bed, only sheets folded on top of more sheets. In November I would think there would be a thicker cover that is easily washable. This hotel needs a refresh.

A nice stay as long as you don't have to eat while you are there.

Decent hotel. Nice room. But no real room service or dining options for vegetarians. I was in town for 4 days for a conference at the hotel. The food was the worst part of the experience. Since I was alone in a strange city, I did not feel comfortable walking around at night alone. I had hoped to get room service for dinner. However, they don't have a proper room service option like most hotels. They have one pub that offers a limited in-room menu. The choices are meat based with no vegetarian options. There was no other room service for breakfast etc. For a hotel of this size, this was very disappointing. The Ruth's Chris steakhouse in the hotel only had salad options for vegetarians and does not deliver to the room. Not a huge deal but with so little to choose from, it was not a viable option for multiple nights. The hotel also provided the food for the conference and it was mediocre. They did have a plated vegetarian lunch option but we were not able to have any choices and even the conference organizers didn't know what the meal would be. They also served appetizers during an evening event at the conference but did not have the items properly labeled so you didn't know if things had meat in them or not. They had "toasted ravioli" which I mistakenly assumed just had cheese. It wasn't until I bit into it that I realized it was filled with beef. I asked the servers if they could update the signage as I knew there were other vegetarians at the event but they never did. I finally grabbed a pen and wrote 'beef' on the label so that others would know. I found this to be an issue with their breakfast buffet as well during the conference. It is one thing to not do it to begin with but when a guest asks if you can update the labels to indicate ingredients and you still don't, that is just bad service.

    5/5 Experience!

The room was beautiful and clean. The view was most of the Arch (pictured)! Everything was clean and elegant, and the staff were on top of everything! We mainly just ate and watched the Tyson v. Paul fight on our devices, so no commentary on the TV. Also loved that there was an ice water dispenser in the front lobby.
