Disappointing
The hotel was decent for the price but immensely understaffed-- especially knowing there was an onsite dance convention taking place as well as a hockey group staying for a tournament. The coffee shop was not open, and there was no complimentary coffee available in lobby. The restaurant was exceptionally slow. It took over an hour for 2 burgers and a stir fry and was not even 1/3 full of patrons. Overall disappointing. Was not acknowledged that I am a Hyatt member.

Absolute Worst
My vehicle was stolen from the parking garage at this hotel. The initial staff woman was not helpful at all and very dismissive. It wasn't until the young African American security guy who happened to be at the front desk showed any kindness or sympathy toward us. Once she was notified, the bartender also showed sympathy. This was by far the absolute worst experience ever and we were still charged for our room.

Decent stay in Rochester
Comfortable hotel in downtown Rochester. Nothing super special, but it's clean, comfortable and quiet and right downtown. There is a pool, which looks to be about 15 or 20 meters long. Nice to have free overnight street parking right across the street. 2-hour meters start at 8am.

Good Hotel to stay. Midtown location. Need to ask for service.
The hotel was really good. Low on employees as all hotels are doing now. They promised a newspaper every day...didn't get it. Connecting doors between rooms are paper-thin. We heard 2 couples going at it for like 2 hours after midnight. Didn't complain...didn't want to rain on someone else's pleasure. I asked for service every day on my online check-in but they didn't honor that. I could've asked but I let it be....we managed. Great location. Clean premises.

Sympathetic but unresponsive.
The service is warm and friendly. Love the water pressure in the shower. Rooms are clean and spacious. However - I can hear every sound from my neighbors who are talking in normal conversational tones. I can hear them unzipping suitcases and every single syllable. The noise comes from the door that can be used to combine the rooms. I went down to the front desk to discuss the problem. I was told that they would install something at the bottom of the adjoining door to deal with the problem. By 9 PM that night there was nothing installed so I went back downstairs. They said someone from housekeeping would be up to install something at the bottom of the door. Maintenance came and gave me a kit to install the item. That item needed heavy shears to cut it to the right size, had a very strong adhesive that would damage paint if I had to pull it off so I left it alone and went to sleep only to be woken up several times due to conversations (at a normal speaking volume) next door. This is not a job for a hotel guest. I went back downstairs in the morning and the front desk agent was apologetic about the kit and said maintenance would install it later that day. And truth be told you would have to install it on both sides of the adjoining door for it to be effective - not much would be accomplished by installing it on just my side of the door. Nothing has been done thus far.
