Stressful EV Charging Experience
Giving this 1-star primarily because of the resorts lack of sufficient EV chargers and a utter lack of process to monitor who is using the EV chargers and for how long. First, there's only 4 non-Tesla chargers. They're available for free - which is great - but there's no process to get people to move their cars once they're charged. Front desk staff was completely unable to help out because there's no system in place for them to track who's car is using the EV chargers - there were 2 cars that had not been moved for 2-days straight! And the staff had no idea who or how to address this. My recommendation is to start charging for EV charging and penalizing drivers for staying post a 10min grace period once the charging is complete. Or have their valets manage the EV charges. I spent the whole weekend trekking back and forth the parking lot to see if there was an empty spot - horrible way to spend your vacation and really disappointed that the staff was unable to help.

Great Family Friendly Resort
Clean and spacious room, friendly staff. Lots of options for meals. Pool area is great, lots of lounge chairs to relax in, with great service for food and drinks. The lazy river and slides are perfect for entertaining the kids! We will definitely be back again, but the next time, with the whole family!

Beautiful Resort-- Great for a family vacation
Beautiful resort. The landscaping is well taken care of. The pool area is large with multiple pools to choose from. My only complaint about the pool area is that there are a ton of nice day beds that no one was using because you had to pay extra for them. And when I say a ton, I mean probably 100+ empty, cushioned day beds. There were plenty of other chairs/loungers as well but they were not comfortable. At a resort of this level, I expect the regular daybeds to be available to all guests. If the hotel wants to charge extra for a cabana with a tv, couch, fridge--I totally understand. Breakfast was nice. Globalist breakfast included the buffet plus a made to order omelet. Breakfast items did not rotate while we there for 5 days. My family and I spent most of our days hiking. Even tho the pool is "heated", it wasn't warm enough to get in for our March visit. I'd like to go back and visit when it is a little warmer. Overall, a great stay. Staff was friendly and anticipated our needs. They even helped us celebrate our 23 year wedding anniversary.

Dinner res. cancelled TWICE by "corporate buyouts"!
We frequently go to the desert in late March for hot days by the pool and warm evenings with dinner outside. At the Grand Hyatt we booked outdoor dinner reservations each evening of our stay, but repeatedly we were told we couldn't sit outside because they had sold out the entire outside dining area to "corporate buyouts". This was problematic for several reasons... 1. Dining outside in the evening is one of the pleasures of Spring in the desert. 2. The Tia Carmen dining room in the evening is WAY too cold. We literally had to retrieve jackets from the room to make it through dinner. 3. We weren't told about the buyouts cancelling our dinner reservations until we arrived at the host stand, even though of course they knew weeks ahead of time. This prevented us from booking somewhere else for dinner. (I'm sure that didn't escape them.) The hotel has a huge event center and their priority business is a.) corporate events, and b.) weddings. If you're just visiting with your family or spouse, be prepared to be treated very much as second class. It's a pity, in part because their restaurant food is quite good, but not worth how you'll be taken care of (or not).

Loved this Hyatt.
My family visited during my kid's spring break. We enjoyed the spacious room, all of the pools, cleanliness of the hotel, and beauty of the grounds. My kids loved the lazy river and water slides. We would definitely return, and ideally with more of our family.
