    Brilliant Hotel

Great hotel, near the beach. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this hotel. Food trucks around the corner offer reasonably priced food. Abc mart 2 minutes away. Complimentary beach towels offered by the hotel.

    Some what expensive

Staffs are great. Close to beach and great food trucks near by. Small rooms and occupied elevators. Less otioms for Breakfast. Way high charges for parking and vallet, not informed earlier. May be it is a norm there. As a first time visitor shocked with these charges.

Meh. Don't think I'll be back.

Employees are friendly and helpful. Outstanding service. Breakfast outstanding. Pretty good location. Hotel is somewhat dated. Only two elevators for whole hotel wing results in very long waits. No service elevators so even more delays and sometimes cuts guest access to one elevator. No full service restaurant except Dominos pizza. Gift shops are not even close to what should be in a Hyatt hotel. Disappointing stay. Don't think I will be back.

    Family gathering

My biggest complaint was not fulfilling my room request. We had six people in our party and three including a 17 year old that needed two queen beds. The other rooms were one king. The room given was one queen with a chair the folded out to a bed which was not acceptable for a 17 year old who is over 6 foot. Many times we asked for another room and was turned away. We made do, but it was a very uncomfortable situation. The location is great. The place was clean and having a big breakfast buffet was wonderful.

Good for families….beware of ocean view category.

The room was spacious. We had plenty of room as a family of 4 with two teenagers. The staff was very welcoming and helpful to accommodate our needs. They customer service was excellent. The hotel was clean. The housekeeping staff was welcoming and efficient. Breakfast was a bonus. Very good and the kitchen staff quick and efficient. It was nice to have the use of chairs and towels to use for the beach days. Would recommend this hotel to larger families who need extra room and beds. My only disappointment was that I purchased a special ocean view room so that we could see the fireworks on NYE. When we arrived our hotel had a diamond head view with a small glimpse of the ocean. I called down to Dino at the front desk and he did his best to accomdate us. He was very helpful and friendly, but the hotel was fully booked that night and he could not move us to a room where we. Old see the fireworks. He did offer us the ocean view room we booked for the remainder of our 2 nights in Waikiki. My family was very disappointed that we couldn’t see the Waikiki fireworks (the reason I booked an ocean view room). But Dino did his best to try to help us and I couldn’t fault him because he was so nice. And would suggest that they change the rooms categories to ocean view and partial ocean view. Disappointing since I paid for an ocean view room but didn’t have an ocean view room. I had a diamond head view with a glimpse of the ocean if I stood outside and turned my head fully to the right. What a bummer and waste of money!! Btw…. We didn’t change to the ocean view room because after we slept there one night we decided we would just stay in the room we unpacked in. What was the point when the fireworks were not going off on January 1 or 2.
