Worse stay at NYC
They said it’s kids friendly. But not at all. Room not cleaned. Bathroom is clogging. Water pressure was low. Hairdryer was broken. Dont expect good amenities. They dont even have a laundry plastic bag available in the room. Maybe we need to call to ask for the service. The housekeeping forgot their cleaning stuff in our room too.

Rooms need major upgrade
The location was brilliant it's location next door to grand central station. Downstairs of the hotel is lovely upstairs is not. Rooms need a huge upgrade. Bathroom was awful. The smallest bath i have ever seen in height and width. It was all very dirty and I didn't feel clean the whole stay.

Great location, underwhelming service.
The location is fantastic. You can access the subway right from the hotel. The check-in process and staff were underwhelming, especially when they verbal promised an earlier than 4:00p.m. room but did not communicate. Lack of towels in the room as well and you're encourage to use your credit at their market for things like water. Overall there are most likely better hotel options and subways are accessible. If the price is right, I would come back but would explore other options.

Older hotel with expensive fees
While the location is good, this hotel is starting to show some age. It still maintains a very premium price and be wary of a $46 "destination" charge that will be added to your bill. For this charge you get, basically, $15 to spend at the hotel store where everything is twice as much as the CVS or coffee shop down the street. Stayed in a corner room and it came with an inexplicably large walk-in closet. They should have used that extra room to make the very small bathroom a little better. The shower was very small, and the design of the shower door ensured that the floor would be wet. The room was pretty quiet for street noise but, like most hotels, every other entry door slams and could be heard pretty loudly in the room. Don't know if I would stay again as better hotels could be found for this price.

Disappointing
I’m afraid I have to agree with many other reviews: this isn’t a 4-star hotel. Let’s start with the good parts. The location is superb—right next to Grand Central Station—making it very easy to explore Manhattan (and beyond). The Chrysler Building is very close, and both the Empire State Building and Times Square are just a 20-minute walk away. The front desk staff was efficient (if a bit stern), and check-in/out was quick. The room was spacious, and the beds were comfortable. Now for the not-so-good bits: the rooms are really tired. The wooden furniture was chipped, the wallpaper was peeling, there were stains on the carpet, and the fixtures were wonky with missing screws. The electrics were questionable—I kept getting small electric shocks from the key card and the elevator buttons. Neither of the bedside switches worked, and the Wi-Fi was hit-or-miss. The bathroom looked like something out of the 1970s, and the provided toiletries were disappointing—a tiny bottle of shampoo that wasn’t even replenished after three nights, despite leaving a good tip. Housekeeping was minimal at best. Another issue is the ‘destination fee.’ I know it’s become common in NYC in recent years, but what do you actually get for the extra $45 per night? Not much. A $15 voucher to use in their overpriced shop, where everything is strategically priced to force you to overspend. For example, a 0.5L bottle of water costs $7.50, so you can’t even get two with the voucher after tax. A sad-looking sandwich will set you back $17. The shop staff was rude and totally inefficient. To top it all off, they charge $4 per bag for luggage storage. This constant nickel-and-diming is more typical of low-cost airlines than a supposed 4-star hotel. There are far better options than the Hyatt in NYC, and I will not be returning.
