Stay was okay
Decent price. Parking garage is very tight and costs about $42 per day. Be careful while driving through the garage especially if you have a big car. Location is a short walk from the beach which is not ideal if you value beach front. Although the hotel was clean and well kept, it is arranged in a weird way. Check is not located around floor 8 and not the lobby. The pillows were not the fluffiest.

Nice modern hotel.
Really nice modern hotel. Everything in very good condition. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a nice touch that they had beach chairs, towels and umbrellas - we were able to take these to the beach. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Only drawback is there is no food service but there are options right next to hotel.

Centrally located cozy Hotel
Hotel was in a very central location and access to restaurants and shopping was great. Wish there were more amenities in the hotel including restaurants, pool, gym, etc. parking is very expensive! Overall we has a satisfactory experience.

mehhh
This was our second time at Hyatt Centric Waikiki after our satisfactory stay just a year prior. Regrettably I have to say the second time was disappointing. Let me first say the good things: room was clean, most of the staff (not all and we'll get to that) were courteous, and location is great. Keep in mind the pool is not really a pool. It's only ankle-deep so it's more of a waddle pool for little children. There is a hot tub. There's no food service, so no breakfast or room service from what I recall. Now, the two most disappointing thing are the shower water and an interaction with a staff. The pressure of the shower water was trickling at best. It took significantly longer time for us to shower because the pressure was very weak. The worse part of the shower water was that the water temperature kept fluctuating between extremely cold and extremely hot. The temperature would fluctuate every 10 seconds or so, even though the temperature knob was untouched. We brought this up to the front desk and the resolution was to have maintenance come up when we're available in the room. We had a hectic schedule and stayed only a few days so we just got by until we left. It was more of a hassle trying to match our time with the maintenance staff. I've stayed in less unfortunate countries where shower was a luxury so I could handle this. We just don't expect this in a Category 5 Hyatt property. We were on property and came across a gentleman who appeared to be a staff of the hotel. We had some questions and weren't sure if he was a staff. So not to be rude, we first approached asking if he's a staff at the hotel. Shockingly at that instance, he gave us the dirtiest look I've seen in years and responded "yeah". As thrown off we were, we proceeded to ask him some questions we had and he answered them with short answers. It made us feel like we're bothering him so we wanted to end the conversation as quickly as possible for his sake. Perhaps he didn't mean to portray such expression and I misread his facial expression. But my wife also said immediately after we parted ways with the staff that she found it disturbing, so it certainly wasn't just me. Reflecting on the interaction, we still cannot understand what we did that warrants a look like that. To end the review, if you're just looking for a clean place to stay in a great location with no frills, by all means go for this property. If you're expecting more, then you might be a disappointed. We'll try Regency next time.

Lea - a 5 star room attendant
5 stars go to our room attendant, Lea. She was simply amazing and did not hesitate to make our stay pleasant. We could visibly notice when it was her day off and we missed her smile and great service! Thank you, Lea. We frequently stay at this hotel when on Oahu. Next time we are back, we will make sure we ask for the floor she is servicing.
