Walkable to Everything
Great, centrally-located hotel. Walkable to all the action on Duval St and Mallory Square. Room looked recently renovated, especially the bathroom. Shower was huge. The pool area is compact and has a great bar in spitting distance. Welcome cocktail at check-in was a nice touch. I liked the fact that they asked us if we prefer a morning or afternoon room cleaning. I do think the resort fee could have been explained a bit better in terms of what it includes. It wasn't until the end of our stay that we were informed the "resort fee" includes beach chairs that can be brought off site. I'm sure there were other perks included in the fee that we missed out on due to a lack of knowledge. Overall I'd definitely stay here again.

Outdated but great location.
Hotel is very outdated. Only rationale to pay high price is the location. We booked a partial ocean view room and anticipated the view to not be as nice; however, our room is next to the elevator and oversees a public parking lot. Throughout the night there was police activity and cars running with exhaust fumes seeping into the room. Not worth the price to pay for this view. Hotel room is ver outdated and dirty. It’s akin to a motel. I would not stay here again and would book the Pier House next door as their grounds seem much nicer.

Tired property
Staff were lovely and room was clean. Main downside is just that the property is very tired and badly needs a refurbishment. Common areas, like corridors outside rooms, were pretty scruffy. At the very least need a deep clean and new paint job, but ultimately whole thing needs a renovation. The food at the restaurant was better than expected, except the cheeseburger which cost $28 and didn’t even come with lettuce and tomato! Just cheese, meat and a bun. Was pretty surprised by that.

Pricey
The rooms are Average rooms, the resort is dated for $500 a night! No free breakfast or anything. For that price you can do an all inclusive for a week with a flight. No big issues. Don’t really need a golf cart on island as there is no where to park. And not enough plugins.

Perfect location meets dated property
Can't beat the location, but that's about it. Rooms and pool are dated. Had a cockroach in my room I had to wrestle. Staff was very nice but...I asked for a room that was on the quiet side, and the reply was sure no problem. The room faced the parking lot next to the street where all the bars etc where lol. The whole place felt like it was built in the 90's and not touched since.
