Hotel Zephyr
Niether Booking nor the hotel Zephyr website wrote that the breakfast was outside of hotel. Every morning we had to go to Pier 39 (10 minutes on foot) to have breakfast wich was an american breakfast not an international. It’s incorrect. In addiction, in our room was impossible to open the windows… crazy…it was bad. It would be better write these things clearly on the website.

Really Fun & Eclectic Atmosphere!
The hotel offered a fun, eclectic atmosphere with a really amazing outdoor courtyard complete with yard games and fire pits (they even give you a marshmallow roasting kit upon check-in!) It’s conveniently located next to many sites and activities like the aquarium, boardwalk, ferris wheel (directly across the street) and a short walk from parks overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge. A great place to stay while you’re in the city!

The facility was clean and ambiance was great
The staff. Lucelle Esquera, Rosalyn Tse were professional, courteous and very helpful. The location was perfect for access to fisherman's wharf. It was also great that ihop was nearby for breakfast and coffee. Forcing the review to be more than 200 words I believe is tacky

Beware of Mice
This hotel has a great location, security stationed at door, game room for kids and gives out s’more kits for their fire pits. The lobby and courtyard are very neat. The rooms however are in some need of TLC, mirrored closet door was off in one room, light was burnt out in another, paint chipping. Our room was cleaned daily and beds were comfortable and clean. However, the kicker for me was when we were ready to go to bed one night around 11pm there was a mouse darting around in our room while the lights were still on. I am terrified of them so this was a real issue. We called the front desk and they promptly moved us and our daughters in the room next to us to different rooms down the hall but when we went inside the balcony doors were open so I was scared that there may be mice in there as well so couldn’t really relax after this, imaging mice getting in my bags. So I did appreciate them moving us. I went to the front desk the next morning about it and got a call from a manager that just apologized so not really sure that they see this as a big deal. Also, do not be tempted to upgrade to balcony room. The picture advertising the upgrade shows ocean view but when I was told there were none available I told them to forget about it. I was put in a balcony room anyway and charged the same fee for a room over looking the courtyard. Talk about a bait and switch, when I said I didn’t realize the upgrade was for a balcony they said well it is the end of your stay what do you want us to do about it now. They could have knocked off some of the balcony charges since I was misled and my last 2 nights were overlooking the roof and not even the courtyard. So for the money I would probably stay in a different hotel. The lobby and courtyard are really nice but this is the first and only time I have ever had a rodent in my room and that was too much for me.
