Apr 14, 2025Love hate relationship with this resort
First of all, I've loved this resort for years! You will not get more activities and resort like atmosphere anywhere else like this in PCB. Grounds are gorgeous as always, love the live music and entertainment, etc. Food is very good as well. I was here for 4 days in April. We love staying here but here are the items I feel need some improvements..if I'm being honest: 1. The public restrooms by the fish tanks are constantly really awful and need attention. Twice I had to go to the front desk and ask them to attend to them. This was an issue every day we were there. 2. Toilet paper. We had 6 people in a family room and we were only left 1 roll each time. I had to get more toilet paper from the front desk constantly, even after asking them to leave more. 3. The bar is very short staffed. Every time we went to get drinks, we waited forever. A couple of times, we even just left. 4. More of a question..why is the water in the small pool always sooo cloudy compared to all the other pools/water? 5. The game room needs some serious upgrades or even just games in there. 6. Not one time did they enforce 18 and older in the hot tub. Kids were jumping in and out so it was not relaxing at all...even saw employees walking around that didn't say anything. Who enforces this? Do they ever tell the kids to get out? Other adults were complaining as well and one adult even told the kids to get out..which almost started a fight with the kids parents that were at the pool. 7. The pool was constantly out of towels... Ok, that being said...we really do love it here and we are actually returning in May for 10 days. I really hope some of this is corrected or fixed by then. Again...just trying to be honest as this is our go to hotel.

The view itself it’s amazing. The staff is accommodating enough and friendly but a few things will keep us from returning . A. no indoor nor heated pools besides the tiny baby pool and hot tub which is for adults only(but kids kept coming in kind of annoying but I don’t exactly blame them it was so cold) B. takes forever for severs to help you at the only restaurant outside (only one or two servers ever ) C. if you order to take to room they automatically charge 20% gratuity D. the fancy water with fruit in it is tap water :( E. (small selection of overpriced food with the ‘free kids’ menu limited and basic mac and cheese, burger, grilled cheese, chicken tenders bland cheese pizza .. typical frozen foods that are likely just reheated) Also when it comes to cleaning the room or having an “room refresh” it’s not clear upon arrival how to request or when it takes place so you have to call ahead of time otherwise it might take a while to happen spring is unpredictable weather so the cold pool situation was a huge bummer you can take your chances though and remember the beach access and view is still great we were here for 4.5 days so after a while things got repetitive and it was just windy and cold so we didn’t enjoy the amenities as much as I’d hoped

This is a hidden gem, in my opinion! My partner and I went down for a relaxing weekend in September for a mini adult couple get-a-way... and this was perfect for that, as well as it would be perfect to bring our kids back to- and we plan to! With the private beach in front, just steps from the pool - makes it a great beach destination full of conveniences. We had a full size refrigerator and freezer in our room which made for a great way to keep snacks and easy quick food in our room. Food was great at both restaurants ... loved the bar outside and great food there also. Will definitely be back with or without our kids! We were in a king size standard room on the 10th floor. :)

Excellent
One of the best IHG hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Employees are so nice and helpful - from the front desk to restaurant, housekeeping and maintenance. The food in their restaurant was excellent - especially breakfast! So much food that I had leftovers every day. The bed was comfortable, nice high toilets and walk-in shower. The balcony overlooking the beach was great. Large TV and good Wi-Fi. Would definitely recommend. Maintenance man, Paul was so helpful and even loaded my suitcases when I was leaving. Will definitely be returning.

Beautiful View, No Housekeeping
The resort’s view was amazing! Our room was huge with super comfy beds, iron & ironing board, a safe, microwave, coffee maker & a full sized refrigerator! The worst was we never got housekeeping. Once a woman came & got our trash & towels, leaving fresh ones. We never got our room cleaned! No beds made, floors cleaned, nothing! I had to ask for bath tissue & face tissue, plus to have our trash taken out! The office desk clerks were super helpful. We ate at the onsite restaurant, “The View” our first night there. Hubby ordered their crab cake, I ordered flatbread pizza with pepperoni. The food was just okay. They weren’t busy at all. Our server was alright, he just needed to check on us more. We waited forever after we told him that we were ready to pay. We used the hot tub on our second night there, but there were no towels. I had to get towels from the fitness room. The beach access was great!
