We had the greatest, most hospitable food and beverage director named Joey. He was very attentive and made great coffee! We have stayed in this location a couple of times. They have recently remodeled and it looks beautiful. The rooms are comfortable and breakfast is great!

Pleasurable experience at Gift Shop
Had a great experience in the gift shop with Sandra. Not only did she point out the sale items to us, she also helped us with the items we were not looking for. We went in the store for one item and wound up with three. It was a pleasurable experience.

Let me tell you about this experience! What a great venue with amazing staff!! Yazz Don Darryl Joey Berenice Holiday Inn, Seawall, 5002 Jetty's restaurant Travis - head of security Yuliana These were our people! We were basically treated like royalty, or we definitely thought it. We stayed here before our cruise, parked there and stored some personal items in a safe while gone. Truck wasn't broken into. Every moment, I didn't worry about our stay there, our item's stay there or what to expect when we got back. Got a complimentary water from Yazz when we got back because I was a bit under the weather. I'd absolutely stay again.

We came to Galveston to board a cruise and stayed at the Holiday Inn Resort and I would highly recommend.
Everyone has been so friendly since we’ve arrived. We ate at the restaurant in the hotel and it was so good. We had Julmi as our server and she was outstanding. This was our first time in Galveston and we loved this hotel and staff!! We will definitely be back.

Very pleasant experience!!!
There should be a sixth star on this review for people like Joey. He made our dinner at The Jetty Restaurant a very welcoming experience. Workers like Joey are what make a business like The Holiday Inn resort a successful and prosperous business. Due to an extreme staff shortage on the night of our stay, Joey and the chef were the only employees in the restaurant dining room and kitchen. Joey managed to fill the role of host/hostess, waiter, busboy and cashier inside and waited on hotel guests by the pool outside as well. All the while being as polite and gracious as any employee I’ve ever had the pleasure of interacting with here at The Holiday Inn Resort on Galveston Island. If he were my employee I would definitely give him a raise for saving the day, and an extra day off this week. Thanks for making our night Joey!
