Do not stay here. This is not a choice hotel at all. List of issues—Pool out of service,Ice machines out of service, Not one car In parking lot,Some of the room windows were broken, curtains flapping outside in wind, AC not working, had to reset breakers for both rooms ourselves, No towels In rooms, No hand towels, No wash cloths even after we asked, lamp had no bulb, light in the bathroom was hanging down….just do not stay here.

WASTE OF MONEY. RIP-OFF. FAR BELOW AVERAGE!!!
Old hotel! Don’t waste your hard-earned money on this place. RIP-OFF!!! That's my assessment. The Pros: 1. Ice-cold AC in the rooms. This was the major positive for this hotel. 2. Good water pressure in the shower. 3. Hot water in the shower. 4. The hotel had some really nice shampoo and condition provided in the bathroom. The Cons: 1. The hotel looked abandoned when my 14-year-old son and I arrived. I was a little unnerved about staying there because it looked like a place that would be frequented by "room by the hour" guests. 2. The hotel had the general look of "we don't care if it looks old or the floors don't look clean cause we don't want customers checking in to begin with." 3. The room was clean but very shabby looking, but the beds were hard, the blankets were lumpy, and the ceiling was not painted in one section and looked like it had been recently patched by maintenance but not finished. 4. The TV was a decent size, but it was old, fuzzy picture quality, and had maybe 35 channels. My son and I used my laptop instead to watch football because the quality of the TV paled in comparison to my laptop. Seriously, this establishment can’t invest in some Smart TVs with a decent cable package. 5. The bathroom faucet in the sink and bathtub were covered with grime and need to be changed or scrubbed extensively. 6. My reservation listed I was traveling with a teenager so you would think we would have ample towels in our bathroom. Nope. We did not. We had 1 hand towel and 1 shower towel. I had to ask the clerk for more towels, and he sighed and said, "Okay. I guess I can get you more towels." It was late and we had just gotten back from the Texas Tech game, so I didn't feel like arguing because he promptly got me more towels. But I was thinking "Guess...you guess. That's your dang job." 7. The hotel advertised free hot breakfast on the Choice Hotels app, but when we checked in the clerk said the dining area was under maintenance so we would not be able to eat there. Kind of glad considering the hotel's general appearance was shabby, shoddy, and shameful. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again. As a matter of fact, I have two more trips planned in the next month where I reserved Choice Hotel properties in Oklahoma. I canceled both reservations today and booked reservations with Hilton Hotels instead. I'd rather spend an additional $20 - $35 per night and receive far better service.

NEVER stay at this hotel
The hotel was a total disappointment. The pictures were incredibly misleading. How this hotel having a 4.0 on it's rating system is beyond me. It's in a sketchy part of Lubbock for one, so I'd expect more lighting or better security measures to be in place. The outside lighting of this building is pitiful. I couldn't tell if this place was in business or not. Entering the establishment it appeared to be an older hotel that had electrical issues that had been fixed and some panels replaced, but the gap of the work done and the new equipment was never filled in so there was still a hole around the panels. Whenever we attempted to check in the first day, there was an issue with the person behind the desk creating a room key. It was ran about 15-20 times on each room key before I was given a working room key. Whenever we got to the room it appeared it hadn't been vacuumed, there were food crumbs on the floor in between the two beds. An outlet cover was laying on the floor leaving the plug ins exposed. Whenever we attempted to use the security latch on top of the door we realized that the latch was fixed behind a picture frame drilled into the wall, so you couldn't properly secure your room door in this sketchy hotel. Whenever we went into the bathroom there were soap, shampoo and lotion to access, but not a hand towel, washcloth, towel or anything to dry your hands or body in sight. The first night we went to the front desk to ask for some towels and were given a floor mat towel, 2 washcloths & 2 towels for our reservation of 2 adults and 2 children. The second night whenever we asked for towels, we were given just 2 towels, nothing else. Whenever we asked about getting any of the other things ( wash cloths, hand towels or even the floor mat towel) we were informed that the service that they were using for the laundry must not have supplied the rooms with towels, but this was both nights at this hotel. Why you ask did we stay for a second night? The reservation was non refundable for the first two nights, but we were able to cancel our third night since we had more than a 24 hour notice. Upon arrival to Lubbock on the first night the temperature outside was 104 degrees, but the inside of the room was at 78 degrees. It took hours to pull the temperature down to 70. While we were waiting on the air to cool down we checked out the pool area. The hot tub was out of order and the pool water was nasty. There were no pool towels to be found either. We ventured back into our room only to discover that the TV remote was not working. The second night our room consisted of two rooms. Both rooms were provided with an A/C, but the room my kids were to sleep in the wall unit didn't work, so we all ended up sleeping in the King sized bed where the A/C did work. The Bathroom floor in the suite had tiles loose and unsafe to step on, especially coming out of the shower without anything to step on because of the issues with the laundry service as mentioned above. The desk had silver glitter nail polish smeared on in and the bathroom surface wasn't wiped down and the stand up mirror still had smears of who knows what on it. I took out my toddlers wet wipes and gave everything a wipe down, but was still grossed out. My dad was having surgery and we came in from out of town, so we only went by the total review of the hotel and the pictures before booking. What's the saddest point is that it was overpriced and we booked a cheaper hotel and it blew any hotel we'd ever stayed at out of the water and it was closer to the hospital, but didn't have a room for the amount of my family for the first two days. Overpriced, mislead and disgusted with this hotel, and my family will NEVER stay at any Country Inn & Suites again. This hotel ruined it for any other Country Inn & Suites. I'd NEVER recommend anyone to stay at this hotel.

Deplorable
This hotel was absolutely deplorable. We have been unable to speak with management as he will not return calls. We did not stay at the hotel and will be disputing the charges in full. Ceiling damage, dried bloody boogers on the wall, pubic hairs on bed & tub, dirty mirror, missing iron, broken hangers, smoke smell everywhere in a non-smoking hotel, filthy phone, floors etc. Entryway and elevators were absolutely filthy and didn't appear to have been cleaned in quite some time. Reported to health department.

Not what shown in photos.
When I arrived there was no one to welcome me and I had to wait almost 5 minutes before they came out with a TV remote in hand. Old and falling apart, dirty. Not worth it one bit. In a rough part of town. So many other great hotels in Lubbock. Find something else, you really don’t want to stay here for what they charge. I have stayed in better hotels for less money. Spa out of service and both ice Machines are broken.
