Bedbugs/Intimidation By Staff
A month ago (November 13), I had the worst experience of my travel history. I'm a travel consultant/influencer and have dealt with many hotels over the last 7 years. I observe many hotels as part of my work (noting poor customer service and cleanliness concerns, so the companies can improve), but this stay, I had a reservation because I had a physical therapy appointment the following day in Cranston, RI, for my neurological and neck injuries, which I had to cancel and was charged $100, because I was kicked out of the hotel, by a maintenance worker, because I observed the following negligence - 3 rooms, 4th floor, 9th floor, 6th floor, all rooms had bedbugs and musty odors (which also indicates bedbugs). Providence Hilton management/workers continue to deny/lie about these claims, despite my seeing the bedbugs under my iPhone magnifier, running over a live bedbug with an iron, causing blood to squish out of it. As well as a Hilton GM from another property confirming it. Also 2 out of the 3 elevators were broken, and the one that was running was an expired license (which was reported to the chief inspector of the Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training, as well as the City of Providence Mayor's Office and the Providence Inspections and Standards for the unsanitary conditions.) After I came down from the first room, the woman at the front desk said, "This is the first time I'm hearing about this," which is an odd response, also both maintenance workers had smug looks on their faces. The 2nd time I came down from the other room, the woman at the desk said, "Those aren't our sheets." Really? What kind of a defense is that? In an email management lied - Additionally, we reviewed the photos you provided, and while we appreciate you sharing them, some appear to depict details that don’t match our property. - They're the mattress pads/toppers! - And then she went on to say, "I don't think you took those photos today." They are timestamped. While in the 3rd room, the maintenance guy barged in and said, "I just called the police on you, you're going to have to leave!" Wow! That's beyond unprofessional and defensive. He knew I caught many violations and decided to intimidate me into leaving. I waited for the police to arrive and he admitted he never even called them. I'm disabled and autistic and walking around Providence, in the dark (I don't see well in the dark), with my forearm crutch, was a very scary situation. The next morning I woke up with a bedbug bite on my right foot. I have never been treated so badly. Providence Hilton/The Prociccanti Group needs to be held accountable for their actions. I find it incredibly insulting for them to continue to deny and gaslight what happened. It's a slap in the face. I know what happened. I'm experiencing PTSD because of all this. Another manager lied saying I wasn’t charged (I was!) I attached the invoice they sent and my bank statement. Was it worth it to lie, deny, intimidate, etc? Consumers have more power than you realize. I will never stay at another Hilton property. You didn't just lose me, you lost all my followers online now and in the future.

Stay fell short
Positive: Smooth check in, friendly female staff member (didnt catch her name). Convienet parking and great location in providence. Walk to many locations. Negative: Hallways on 3rd floor smelled musty. Outdated room that were not the cleanest. (Peeling wallpaper, walls need cleaning) Charge of 3$ for water in the room!! Although it was sufficient for a 1 night stay would choose another hotel if staying multiple nights. Not likely for us to choose this hotel again.

Great for corporate event
We held an event for 75 people in the Rosemoor Ballroom. Event went great. Brandon Parker was our hotel contact and was a pleasure to work with and took care of all of our needs. All went well from AV to room set up to food. I would recommend holding a corporate function at this space and to work with Brandon.

Not Up to Hilton Standards
I stayed here with a number of friends, and I guess I was luckier than them. TV service was out 2 or 3 days, bathroom needed a good scrubbing, and halls were hot. On the positive side, breakfast buffet was very good. My friends were not so lucky: mold in several rooms, no AC during a heat wave... Lots of guests complaining in the elevators and lobby. I should have read TripAdvisor reviews; most of the latest were quite negative.

Older hotel in downtown Providence
We made this reservation somewhat later than we should have for our trip. It was one of the few affordable options left for downtown Providence in midsummer. The hotel needs updating and cleaning. Our room was clean enough, but certainly not spotless. The entrance from the garage to the lobby leaves a lot to be desired. It is narrow and hard to navigate with luggage. That being said, it was in a good location and we were able to get walk where we wanted. The front desk people were friendly and helpful. It suited our purposes for the time we were there.
