Mar 23, 2025Hilton Head Island Beach & Tennis Center Resort in decline
A short trip to Hilton Head Island, staying at the Hilton Head Island Beach and Tennis Resort. The entire unit (in the Ocean Villas) was below average and run-down. Other than the sofa and stuffed chair in the living area, all other furniture was old and somewhat beat-up. Light bulbs were missing from fixtures in the bathroom and bedroom, carpet was old and dingy, floors creaked extensively, and the entire unit needed fresh paint. There was little sound insulation in the ceiling; not only could I hear a toddler in the unit above me running frequently, I could also hear adults talking in that same unit. I won't stay there again.

This place is awesome. Right on the beach with Coconuts bar and restaurant right there with good food and drinks plus Jamaica Joe's on the beach for food and drinks made it awesome. Giant pool outside plus a smaller one at the far end of the property. Bike rentals right at the front of the property. Very friendly staff and great amenities, pickleball and tennis with tons of courts. Not near all the hustle and bustle of other places, more secluded and private but within a short ride by car of bike to lots of places-small island has everything close by. Surprisingly great little spot with plenty to do

Always a good experience
I've stayed here several times, always in the same immaculate condo – C-157. The owners have thought of everything … small appliances are tucked in the pantry, along with a step stool and essential kitchen items, and they've provided plenty of cookware, glassware, dinnerware, and utensils. I don't cook much when I'm here, though. There are a number of good restaurants within a short distance, including the excellent on-site CocoNutz Sports Bar. The unit is a very short walk to the beach. You can rent chairs or use the ones provided by the owners. You may not even make it to the beach. The pool is beautiful, clean, and has plenty of chaise lounges, and a snack bar is just across the boardwalk. The unit is compact, efficient, and well-appointed. My visits to HHI are made much more enjoyable by my stays at HHI Beach and Tennis Resort.

Great!
Great place. Condos were small, but well laid out. No laundry inside unit, but laundry room was close and very nice. Close to the beach. Amenities were fantastic. Great experience. Everything was really great. Can't complain at all. We had a great time.

Great time at the beach, highly recommend
We had a great time during the Fall break. Grandkids were happy and I am happy they are happy. We have been coming to Hilton Head Island for over 15 years and stayed in pretty much every resort. HHBT is our favorite for its close proximity to the beach, friendly staff and well stocked condos.
