Basically, this place is a dump

Incredibly disappointing stay. Our room had several issues. Bathroom had a sewage smell and the shower wouldn't drain. If your shower was more than 5 minutes long, it overflowed into the bathroom. The room was very dirty, Even had french fries on the floor by the dresser. We stopped at the front desk to get the items addressed.....twice. The bed was made and fresh towels were brought but the food on the floor(seriously??!?) and the clogged shower drain was never addressed. Then we called.....still nothing was done. It was hard to complain about the customer service.....it was nonexistent. Due these issues and lack of any response or effort by any of the staff, we checked out 2 days early. Played the tables in the high limit room and had to wait an extremely long time. Also, the gym was a joke, old equipment and not much of it. The place needs help.

Good location. Nice view of Lake Tahoe from our room on the 15th Floor. Great staff members.

Stayed here five days (13, 14, 15, 16, 17January2025). We had two Executive 1 King Bed Nonsmoking rooms, (1027 and 1029). Rooms are spacious. Each room has two bathrooms. One bathroom has a walk-in shower and the other bathroom has a bathtub. Lots of electrical outlets including lamp stands has an electircal. Underneath bedside tables has electrical outltet. Bedrooms has a small fridge. When fridge condenser comes on in Room 1027 it is loud. It wakes us up during the night! Do Not Disturb light is not working in Room 1027. Light inside shower in Room 1027 is now working. I reported this to maintenance when we checked in and maintenance man replaced light bulb on the same day! On our first night, we had dinner at American River Cafe. Food portions are big enough to share with another person. Service is good. Currently this restaurant is open from 7am to 2pm all week. There is no buffet at this hotel unlike before Covid.

    Dated rooms

The rooms are extremely dated. Not even worth staying for free. Beds are springy. TV is at least 15 years old. AC in room was literally blowing no air. Casino is tiny and the clientele all have children with them. Didn’t eat there since I didn’t see a single place to eat. Just go to Reno to gamble.

    Ski Trip Lodging

Stayed for 4 nights in December 2024. Concerned about condition of hotel given previous reviews so upgraded to an executive class room on the 15th floor. Found room to be clean and in good condition. Rooms made up only after third night stay. I had little interaction with staffing after using a kiosk to check in. Disappointed to see that the hot tub was inoperable since its use would have been nice after a day of skiing. Plenty of dining options within walking distance. I attempted to withdraw $500 from an ATM onsite only find the fee would be $57.99! I suppose that’s their way to to exploit travelers in need, however, I wasn’t that desperate so cancelled and got money from a credit union around a mile down the street into California for a $1 free. Crazy! Between the crazy ATM, parking, internet access, and resort fees, I’d say this hotel has a very predatory business model.

Over booked, said would comp resort fee, did NOT!

They Over booked our 2 queen bed room, the clerk said that the Manage would comp us on the resort fee, they did NOT! They gave us a king bed room with a couch temporally until a room became available. When we check out they said the manager was NOT available. They said they would send me copy of the bill, they did NOT. When I called later same thing manager NOT available. When I called this month, again manager staff NOT available.
