Stink, Stank, STUNK
We decided last minute to drive to Biloxi for a big poker tournament at the Beau Rivage. Because they had the tournament, a big name comedian, and a large jackpot drawing of some kind, we could only get a room there for Thursday and Friday nights. Since they were completely booked for Saturday night, I made a resy at Harrah's. We had stayed here 4-5 years ago, and I remember it being low key budget, but I figured it would be fine for a single night. The good: self parking is free and convenient (no valet option). Not too many guests, so it wasn't hard to find a spot close to the elevators to casino entrance. The room itself wasn't fancy, but it seemed very clean. Still has popcorn ceilings, which speaks volumes. I can tell which Vegas Strip hotels are C-string just by that alone (I'm looking at you, Luxor), so I knew right away this wasn't Caesar's. (And was more expensive than the Beau Rivage night, because I don't play regularly at Caesar's properties.) Why I will never, ever return: THE SMELL. It begins along the hallway going from the front desk to the elevators. A pungent combination of raw sewage and whatever they're spraying by the gallon to mask this odor. This scent, which they must apply with a fire hose, smells like old man cologne gone rancid. I am not exaggerating. Clearly, the people who work here must be inured to the smell. Or their nasal passages have been fried by it. Unfortunately, I am not. It only got worse in the hallway leading to our room. I had to breathe through my mouth just to make it in there. It was making me both nauseous and giving me a headache. Once in our room, some of the smell lingered, probably from when I opened the door. There is a wide crack under the door, so the smell permeated the room. It was bad enough I couldn't sleep, so I plugged the gap with a towel. That helped a lot. It's now okay at the bed, but definitely lingers near the door. We will NOT be back.

Nasty rooms. Mediocre service
Arrived about 8 or 9 pm on a Thursday evening. Bell hops were off duty and they would not allow the use of a luggage cart. The front desk clerk had to meet us at our car and supervise us as we used the cart. The hallways were dark and musty. The Expedia ad said we would have a terrace on our room. No terrace. The room had an awful odor, dust on picture frames, and very dated. We had no coffee, I had to go to the front desk and ask. It was not left in our room when it was "cleaned" last. Also, we had two bath towels and two hand towels. That was it. No wash cloths or bath mat. This hotel was below average, especially for a big name. Rooms also were not very sound proof. Heard people up and down the hallway at all hours.

THEY DONT HONOR RESERVATIONS
They DO NOT HONOR a reservation. Go Stay somewhere else! Reserved a room before 2pm using their 1800 number for a single room NON SMOKING with two Queen beds. After traveling through Louisiana and Mississippi dodging tornado WARNINGS (12/28/2024) we arrive at 9:30pm to be told they don’t have our room and we have a choice between one King or two queens in a smoking room. We are traveling with two of our children and I have asthma. Literally sleep in one bed or in a smoke box. The smoke room smells like complete crap, there is smears up and down the Hal’s of this germ encrusted hotel and broken furniture in our room. And the only thing they will do for OUR trouble… $30.00 towards our food purchase in the hotel. Right… because that makes up for anything. Stay Away! If I could share pictures of smell, I would. Here are pictures in our room and hallway

Won't Clean the Rooms
Having booked a four night stay I was told at check in that under no circumstances would the room be cleaned during my stay! Rudely told that if I didn't like it I could leave. I'd advise travellers to do just that and avoid Harrahs there are plenty of better hotels to choose from.
