    Don’t Stay Here!

This hotel is a dump! Please do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else in town. This is not a Hilton Hotel, it is a franchise that is poorly managed and is leveraging the name. The building was in poor repair, with shabby stained carpeting, ceilings sagging to the point of splitting, and crumbling plumbing fixtures. The building also stinks, which might be what is referred to as a “pet friendly” environment. The staff is not there to provide customer service. In our case, most of the staff was not there at all. If you check in after 4:00 pm, the manager, assistant manager and maintenance man have all left for the day. There was a self-described “front desk engine,” but this engine didn’t start. She couldn’t/wouldn’t do anything to resolve our problem, and nobody is on-call, so bring your own duct tape. Their problem is your problem until the staff shows up for work the following day. We went a couple miles west and stayed at Hilton Grand Vacations. It was far superior in every way for the same money.

    Don't stay here

This property is old and dated and needs remodeling. It felt like a Motel 6. It should not carry the Hilton Brand. I stayed here one night and moved to another property. As a Hilton Honors member, I have stayed at many Hilton properties. Nothing is this bad. Save your money and sleep in the car.

    Old, Tired Property

This Hampton Inn is clean, inexpensive (for Sedona), and the employees are friendly. Location and parking are convenient although they charge for parking if you are not a Hilton Honors member. The property itself is old and run-down. Towels are frayed, walls are chipped, fixtures are damaged, etc. It is badly in need of an update.

    Not your average Hampton Inn

The worst Hampton Inn I have visited. I made the mistake of assuming that Hilton directed some basic standards. This hotel feels like the most basic, dingy motel that would be 1/4 the price. The room smelled, which was only made worse when we turned on the heater. The carpets were old and dirty. The lobby was very unwelcoming and included a mini-fridge in the aisle that was part of their 'lobby store' for snack and drink purchases. Everything from the toilet paper to the thin towels was cheap. To add insult to injury, they charge $17 extra for parking. There is no gated parking lot or security. This is clearly just a money grab. The owner of this hotel is taking advantage of loyal Hilton customers in a popular town, charging a premium price for a very low grade product.

    Eh

The property has probably been around for a while and could be updated. We stayed here over 12 years ago, and I had the same impression then. The bed frames in our room were noisy if you moved too much, and the room was cleanish. We had a chuckle at some items left by previous guests that I'm guessing they didn't want, and somebody didn't want to touch, or it is probably more the case that they just didn't see them and forgot. I'm not sure why they charge for parking at this location. It isn't in an area where parking is limited. I would probably take a chance with one of the other local hotels next time we are in the area.
