Front row experience
Skiing lodge with great location, friendly staff and rapid service - made us super comfortable. We arrived early for the check-in, at around noon, but our room was ready for us and we could early check in. And what a great location - we had an amazing room with the balcony overlooking the main gondola and ski runs! What could be better than putting your ski boots in a room, stepping down three flights of steps and appearing in front of the gondola? We had amazing balcony for apre-ski - watching last skiers coming down the mountain :) Our room had a bit of an issue - the closet door was broken and my husband needed a small fridge for his medicine - all got taken care immediately after we asked - there was a person bringing a small fridge while another employee repairing the broken door! Spa area with sauna was great, as well as hot tub area and a steam room and a pool was great to relax after a day of skiing, we also made many friends :) We ate once at a hotel restaurant, was OK for a sports bar type, basic, but good service and food was decent, but not an extensive menu. The combination of the location, service and convenience - for sure would bring us back at a right price.

Waiting in line for a longer time than skiing, a waste of time and money.
My family and I spent three expensive days waiting in line. We waited in line for hours each day for crap skiiing down the single trail that was open. Three minutes of skiiing followed by forty minutes in line. Less than 25% of the mountain was open, and the parts that were open were dangerously overcrowded. We spent more time waiting in line than skiiing. In fact, over three days we spent more time waiting in line than it took us to fly to Salt Lake from NYC. Avoid this resort.

Great get-away at the Grand Summit!
We stayed for a 5-day getaway in November and everything about our stay was above expectations. First impression pulling up the drive is magical with the lights in the trees, and continues as you pull up to the valet, with the beautiful architecture and the fire going. Valet and front desk service was another highlight - all were super responsive, polite, personable and helpful. Our room was cozy (fireplace!) and very clean. Especially the windows, as we spent lots of time looking at the fantastic view. The free shuttle service came in very handy to get into Park City proper, and our drivers once again were responsive and gave us great advice (Handle restaurant!!). Overall the quality of the facility combined with the care the staff takes and the setting in Park City made our stay really special. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Management came through
The hotel was amazing, as usual, but somebody had given us bad information before we got there that a restaurant would be open and it wasn’t. We had several friends meeting us at that restaurant, and it was a big inconvenience. Bridget, with management, went so far out of her way to save the day, and she turned a terribly inconvenient episode into a wonderful memory. Thank you, Bridget!!

Housekeeping and Valet are the stars!
The valet (I’m sorry I can’t recall his name—we arrived Saturday, late afternoon) was welcoming and helpful and it was a great beginning to a happy stay. I must mention housekeeping—they work so hard and get so little credit. Thank you Nellie—our rooms were spotless. You were responsive and non-judgemental when I broke a glass. You were gracious and helpful. Thank you! The women in the coffee shop were so professional and pleasant—thank you Mayra and Maui! Grand Summit give these women the recognition they deserve—$$$$.
