    Celebrating my 50

Celebrating my 50th birthday with family and the GP PTC did not disappoint me at all. From the time I arrived to my departure, Maritza PTC was my concierge personnel. She was extremely attentive to my needs and surprised me with a birthday cake, and I was serenaded at one of the parties. Christopher was my personal driver whenever I needed a ride, he was available with a big smile. I like how the Grand Palladium was aware of dietary needs and had other options available. Thank you for making my birthday a memorable one that I will not forget.

    Paradise in Bavaro!

My wife and I had an amazing time at Punta Cana Bavaro staying in the Ambassador suite panoramic ocean view room at the end of March. We were celebrating my birthday during the stay. We wanted to leave a review of our experience. Airport and transportation: Our flight arrived earlier than projected and we were able to make it through customs quickly. After collecting our luggage we were able to locate BD experience with ease and they had a private transfer ready within minutes. Arrival: When we arrived at the travel club lobby we were greeted warmly and offered drinks while they checked us in. Our concierge Yugeiry introduced herself and set up our benefits meeting for the next day. Check in went smoothly and we were brought to our room quickly. The room was clean and the AC working however the hot water was not working and one of the balcony doors had a broken lock. We notified our concierge and by the time we got back from dinner the issues were already fixed. We were also provided our welcome fruit tray and a bottle of champaigne. The benefits meeting went well we received our palladium money and we opted to go on the Soana excursion which in hind sight we would not do again. The excursion started at 7am and we were not back to our room until 7pm. We ended up missing our reservation for hibachi due to how long we were gone from the resort. The excursion itself was not bad but we would have preferred to just stay at the beach on resort, as we feel we would have had a better time. We do not feel we were pressured into having an upgrade meeting. We were asked if we understood all of our perks and if we would like a meeting to go over them, but when we said no she did not pressure us any further. We were also asked if we were celebrating a special occassion and we mentioned we were staying for my Birthday. Our concierge asked what type of cake I preferred and said she would arrange for them to either send it to our dinner that night or to the room. We were also able to arrange all of our restraunts for the week at the end of our benefits meeting, with the ptc lobby staff. Room: The room itself was in good condition but a little dated. The view from the balcony is stunning and was one of the reasons we picked this room. It was also very refreshing to feel the breeze from the ocean while relaxing on the balcony. We were near alot of activity on the beach but we do not feel like the room was noisy. We could hear some music from the white party one evening but it wasn't an inconvenenience to us. They also decorated our room for my birthday with balloons and flower petals and they brought a cake with champaigne as well for us to celebrate the occassion. Restraunts: We were able to arrange all the restraunts for our stay with the PTC lobby staff on our first day. They were able to get us into all the restraunts we wanted to throughout the week. Overall we thought the food was good, however we had a few dishes we did not like as much and others we loved. I just wanted to mention the 2 best experiences we had were La Boheme and Tentazione. The service we experienced was great from the start of meal to the end and the food was delicious at both of these restraunts. I aslo wanted to mention that we had room service a couple of times for lunch and for the 1 night we missed our reservatiom due to an excursion running longer than anticipated. We were pleasantly surprised by how easy it was and the quality of food we recieved. We also wanted to mention the food truck on the TRS resort was fantastic. We ate lunch here several times during our stay. Entertainment and Spa: Our stay coincided with the hotel prepairing for large scale remodel of the Bavaro hotel. Due to this they did not have any shows at the theater so we felt the productions were not as well done as our previous stays. They did have a show nightly at the various lobbys and they were entertaining, but it just wasn't as good as what we were expecting from previous stays. We also opted to go to the Bingo night which we both enjoyed and had alot of fun participating in the show. I would recommend this show to others as it was high energy the entire event. We also chose to go to Chic one night and had a great time. We did try the various food dishes they brought out, but the show is what we came for and it didn't dissappoint. We went to the spa almost daily for the hydrotherapy area. The hot tub and cold plunge were very refreshing. We made use of the sauna's however the ice bath room was out of service the entire time we were there so we were not able to experience that part. We also never tried the mud bath as that isn't something that would interest us. This area is a great place to come and relax and we enjoyed it almost as much as we do the beach. The staff at the juice bar remembered our drink preferences and were very courteous. We also opted to go on a fishing excursion that can be set up through the BD experience rep at the resort. We went out with a fishing charter called gone fishing and our boat ended up catching 1 Barracuda and 5 Mahi Mahi. We all had a great time and would recommend this to anyone that likes to fish. Beach and Grounds: The resort is beautiful the grounds are well maintained and the landscaping is stunning. The groundskeepers were very active in the resorts upkeep but they were also respectful of us and tried to be as unintrusive as possible as they went about their work. The beach itself is one of the reasons we keep returning to the dominic. We chose to spend most of our time at the members beach. The staff here are amazing. I wanted to mention how wonderful both Rosa and Delecia were during our stay. Both of these women were always smiling and gave us the best service. They seemed to truly care about making us feel welcome and ensuring we were enjoying our stay
