I will not be returning
The room was out dated. Bathroom flooded. No hot water in the bathroom. Hazardous light fixtures. Fridge was leaking. No one would give us extra towels. No one spoke English. Drinks were sub par. Food was not good.

Deplorable at Best
I find it suspicious that most of the trip advisor reviews that reflect positive experiences specifically name staff – especially when after a horrific stay, we were bribed for five star reviews and personal recognition by multiple members of staff (some of whom we had not seen at all during our stay). Some of the younger (20s/30s) members of our party were offered bottles of alcohol and illicit substances in return for positive accolades. Unfortunately, coercion from staff is only the tip of the iceberg as far as our recent stay at the Grand Palladium is concerned. We travelled to the Grand Palladium with a group of 17 for a destination wedding and not one person in our party came out of the week unscathed. Beginning at check-in there was mass confusion and members of our group were haphazardly assigned rooms (despite all booking the same accommodations) while others didn’t receive one at all – after landing at 4:00pm, our Maid of Honor wandered around the lobby crying and clutching her bridesmaid dress until Midnight. Not only did she not get a room for 8 hours, her luggage was “misplaced” and “reappeared” after the staff claimed they had no idea where it went, and she was made to feel insignificant the entire time. We all received different wristbands and were booked across the property despite being together. No one in our party received any information about the property or how to book al a carte dinners (which you have to if you don’t want to end up sick from the buffet). Our room, booked as a Deluxe Garden View was akin to a campus dorm with the amenities to match. House keeping would choose when they felt like cleaning the room – leaving us with no towels, bottled water, or mini bar items (to match the no hot water or electricity) the day of the wedding. We constantly had to go to the front desk (couldn’t call down because the phones don’t work) for plumbing, cleanliness, and electrical issues. When I opted to communicate with “Customer Services” via WhatsApp I was blown off and told to submit a complaint in person the next morning. Two mornings we went down to lodge a formal complaint and no one was available to help despite asking us to come down and being open. The staff is unprofessional and predatory. My above example only scratches the surface as I was harassed for days on end by the Pool Photographer – which only ended once multiple other parties intervened – and our Poolside Server ordered an extra drink to our table each round and would slam it behind the bushes to the tune of being wasted by the end of his shift. A member of our party had something added to her drink in the casino following a dinner where I was shamed for having exposed shoulders and made to sit and cry in an over-sized mens shirt for the entirety of my meal (everyone else ate – they happened to “forget” to bring mine back after I sent it back because it was uncooked). One night when at the front desk to request another pillow we were unable to get service as the Concierge was fondling one of the young guests over the counter (late teens/early twenties). The food is unsafe for consumption – as proven by frequent uncooked dishes and an overwhelming amount of staff interaction with “resort cats” during service without proper sanitization. The bars wont add alcohol to your drinks unless you ask for it specifically. Yes. Including “Rum Punch”. There is no consistency and slow service everywhere – once resulting in a group helping themselves to service in absence of a bartender at the swim up bar. Frustration was always rampant. Depending on where you are on the property, it is almost impossible to sleep through the night as they keep music blaring until the early hours of morning. The pool deck and common areas often looking like the aftermath of a frat party – food, alcohol, laundry, and sometimes vomit, laying in wait for someone to address it. This often doesn’t happen until the bars open at 10:00am. As a family environment – nay – an alleged five-star family environment, this resort is deplorable. Unfortunately the few positive experiences could not even begin to combat the negative. We had specific and abundant issues with the wedding day, as well as our transfers to and from the resort. We acknowledge that these are to be addressed directly with the wedding planner, travel agent, and Sunwing Vacations and are not solely the result of negligence on behalf of Grand Palladium management. The only highlights worth note were the sun, the sand, and the ocean – all elements that the hotel could not hold influence over. We are pursuing legal action and will not be advocating for this resort or its affiliates. *Please note that the photos attached are from 8:00am Monday morning.

Family Vacation
This was our 3rd vacation to Grand Palladium in Punta Cana. We came with family this time. It was absolutely wonderful. We first me Robinson (Bell boy) who helped us to our rooms. He was very informative and very friendly and courteous. Throughout the week we could always count on him for help. We had breakfasts at the buffet and due to some mobility issues we required a table in a certain area and also there were dietary issues as well. Kariena always made sure that we had the table to fit our needs and was very helpful and friendly. Mariedahlia was great at remembering the dietary requirements and was quick to help as well. Carman took over for Kariena when she was off. We never had to worry about accessible tables. We were staying in 8303 and never had a problem with the care our items received. The rooms are clean. We were 2 minutes from the beach and maybe 3 minutes to the closest pool. We were able to try 4 of the A la carte restaurants and they were all very good. Our son found the basket ball court and spent a great deal of time there. We are definitely going to be returning. Thank you for the wonderful week

Honeymoon
We had so much fun this week at the Grand Palladium! There were many activities to take part in and the beach is beautiful.

Spring Break
I waited in the reception the first day for 5 hours and did not have a room and therefore could not eat at any place in the resort because they needed a room number to eat. The walking is too much around the resort, they need golf karts. Everything closes so early and there is no itinerary for activities and fun things or any sense of structure. The beach was also very crowded and so were the pools.
