Amazing beaches and friendly staff
Overall an amazing resort with friendly staff and walkable beaches. Plenty of activities to do for the whole family. Only issue was the design of the bathtub left water going everywhere, if they replaced them all with showers, this would be a true winner!

Overall, lovely experience
The hotel had a wonderful vibe and friendly staff. However, for our group traveling as friends, we would have appreciated having two separate beds in each room. Additionally, the wet floors in the building corridors and stairs during rain due to leaks were a concern. Lastly, the bathtubs were quite difficult to get in and out of, which was a bit inconvenient. Despite these issues, the overall atmosphere was enjoyable.

Meh, it was fine, but I don’t plan on going back
We took a trip as a family for the first time, kids ages 10 and 7yrs. I don’t think I expected more, but I wasn’t necessarily wowed by anything other than the beach. Resort was fine, staff was generally friendly. We stayed at the Palace and after reading in some Facebook groups while on my stay, I think we lucked out with the Palace as we were originally going to stay at either Bavaro or PC, but our travel agent found a good deal on the Palace. Sounds like the other 2 areas had issues with cleanliness, service, etc. I was thanking my lucky stars we chose Palace after having not been anywhere in ages. Overall, we all had a great time, kids enjoyed the pool and beach. We pretty much stayed in the Palace area only because we were happy enough with what was there and didn’t feel the need to spend time exploring. We’re simple. Food was good, although after having the buffet too much, we were ready for home cooked meals again. We aren’t early morning people and our flight got delayed which had us sleeping in the first morning and missed making reservations for the a la carte restaurants which wasn’t a huge deal for us. Beach, pool, heat, good weather and food we could all eat was what we were looking for. Having said all that, be weary of the sales guys in the teal shirts. Because we arrived at the hotel in the middle of the night/early morning, we missed the orientation with our tour rep in the morning (which had nothing to do with the hotel, that’s a different story), but as a result, we were operating a bit blindly and when I asked the men in teal as well as the concierge what service they offer, the teal guys took over and sent us to the PTC membership sales office and we had to listen to that spiel while the kids were begging to go to the beach/pool and we felt like we were being held hostage. It was angering because they just wouldn’t let up. I was close to getting up and just walking away and I think they finally realized that and gave up. I was under the impression that we were going to get a tour of the grounds to show us where all the pools were, stores, restaurants and maybe a small sales pitch for something, but this was only about the PTC and getting people to sign. My husband was angry that we wasted time in that crap and frankly, so was I. The only positive is maybe we helped the guys in teal make some referral commission. I had to feel better about it somehow. All in all, not a bad trip, but could have been better.

Workers were very helpful, makes you feel that you are part of their culture and first class beaches will always have it in my heart like my daughters use to tell me. Thank you
