    Solid Meh.

Solid Meh. Loud hotel and clear gap to balcony door so you can smell the exhaust fumes of the valet motor pool below you along with the cold. For a hotel average room rate of over $800 in March this along with a bungled checkin process lends itself to Hyatt Place quality.

    Incredible place

This hotel is fantastic! The room had a spectacular view. The bed is super comfortable. The hotel has a lot of activities if you are not fan of skiing. The shuttle from the hotel leaves you at the base of the mountain also to get other possibility just in case you dont want to use the lift that is right there next to the hotel!Totally recommended!

My husband and I recently stayed at the Grand Hyatt Vail for the first time, and we were very pleased with the experience. From start to finish, the accommodations exceeded our expectations. To start the hotel accommodated our request for a quiet room — we didn’t have any issues with noise throughout our entire stay, which made for a truly relaxing visit. We were there for our annual ski trip and loved the convenience of being able to rent equipment on-site. The ski valet team did a fantastic job — they were so organized that we were on the slopes in no time! We also enjoyed dining at the on-property restaurants. The food was consistently very good. On our first morning, Ben was our waiter, and he was incredibly attentive and kind. A special thank you to Uzzi, the manager of Gessner, for taking the time to check in with us and ask how our meal was — that personal touch made a difference. Lastly, we want to give a shout-out to Rennay in housekeeping. Since we opted out of daily housekeeping service, Rennay was our go-to person for anything we needed. She was always accommodating and pleasant, making sure we had everything we needed. Thank you to the entire team at Grand Hyatt Vail for making our stay so memorable — we can’t wait to return!

    Below Average

Very or below average experience for the price you pay for. Thank goodness my fiance was not picky. I would not have been happy if he took me there for my birthday. The complimentary programs were very short and hotel was not clean. Will not recommend.

Great Stay with Beautiful Walks, but Some Service Improvements Needed

Overall, my stay was pleasant. The check-in and check-out process was very efficient and friendly, and Ben at breakfast was excellent—attentive, friendly, and made sure guests had everything they needed. The valet service was also top-notch, making everything smooth and hassle-free. I loved the hotel's location. We walked to Lionshead and Vail along Gore Creek, which was covered in snow and ice. Since I wore cleats, I felt safe, and the weather was sunny and bright. It was the best walk I’ve had in a long time—peaceful, uncrowded, and with breathtaking scenery. It took about 35 minutes because we stopped often to take pictures. The hotel does offer a complimentary shuttle to Vail, but we enjoyed walking in the snow instead. The hotel also provides daily activity programs, including a snowshoe walk and morning yoga. We wanted to try ice skating for two days, but the ice was melting, so the conditions weren’t ideal. The breakfast buffet was small but had high-quality options, including cage-free eggs, fresh berries, smoked salmon, and porridge. You can also order single dishes. It was very crowded around 8:30 AM, but at 7 AM, it was much quieter.Overall, it was a great stay. There are some areas where service could be improved, such as at the market and the concierge, to ensure a fully enjoyable experience.
