Great location with excellent pool area and services

I am officially in love with this place. We went last year for spring break when it was still a Hyatt Regency and it was being remodeled to a Grand Hyatt so staying right next to construction was a bit annoying. However, the pool was done at that time and we had an amazing time so we decided to give it a try as a Grand Hyatt. The lounge is a bit disappointing. They didn't even have eggs for breakfast! However, the pool area is so well done, with lots of seating and activities for little ones each day. The water slide is just right and the pool service is great. They are very attentive and efficient. The goodie bags that they give out at check in for kids was helpful to keep them entertained during check in. Both rooms we stayed in were very clean and maintained well. I liked that we could order a mini yoga mat and dumbbells for the room, though the heaviest they had was 5 lbs so that was disappointing for my husband. The front desk manager, Aurelia, was very helpful and great at answering our questions via email prior to our stay. We will definitely return and try to make it a yearly trip with friends!

Wouldn't stay again for the cost

Stayed with family of 5: Pool area and servers very nice. Pool bathrooms filthy; got worse as the day went on. They should be cleaned throughout the day. Adult pool area was lovely. Other pool areas full of kids, Lobby area lovely. Room was spacious. Requested sheets for pullout sofa. Brought me two sets; one covered in black mold spots and the other had a glop of "something" on it. The room itself was nice, but definitely not sparkling clean for $800 plus a night. It seriously looked like they only changed the sheets and maybe vacuumed. The both room was not clean to my standards. The floors were definitely not mopped. This was pricey hotel; definitely not worth the money.

Great family friendly resort with great facilities and activities

The resort has had a lovely remodel with excellent facilities and amenities. There were perfect activities for the kids and wonderful pools. The candle making was also such a treat—our favorite resort activity. The facepainter was very talented and balloon art was a lot of fun poolside. The lawn was also very nice for kids to run around and meet new friends. The staff were very nice, always helpful and polite. Kevin checked us in and introduced the facility very thoroughly and always greeted us by name throughout the stay. The resort seemed a bit understaffed or unprepared for the peak travel week at times—the gym and poolside towel stand both ran out of towels while we were there, housekeeping missed something, and the club lounge ran out of utensils for instance. Chairs were sometimes difficult to find. I imagine these things would be less of an issue if we went during a less busy time. The club lounge was a lovely space as well, shining on the beverages front. Breakfast and appetizers were okay, but desserts were a hit. Overall we wouldn’t hesitate to return for a fun resort vacation with the family!

    Standout Service in Scottsdale

The mark of a hotel that has its service dialed starts with the front desk experience. We were fortunate enough to be helped throughout our stay by Tonica up front. I have stayed hundreds and hundreds of nights at Hyatt hotels all over the world because I like them. She is on the Mount Rushmore of Hyatt people I have encountered. Absolute class. She was flawlessly helpful and tremendously thoughtful in making sure our stay was excellent. We had one small problem elsewhere during the stay and she solved it instantly. I cannot say enough. Efficient and kind. So nice to our kids. Hyatt should give her a hotel to run. It would be a great place to stay. One other thing I feel compelled to mention was the service we got from Raul at the Mesa Centrale. He asked us if we needed anything in our room to be taken care of when he brought the water! He continued to make us feel welcomed and special. Again, so kind to the kids and on top of every detail. That guy rules. Thank you, Raul. The hotel is totally good. It’s a nice place. The people I have mentioned made it great. Our family is thankful.
