    Amazing!!

We’ve only been here a day and it’s already the most fabulous vacation. Hector at La Cevichoria is lovely and considerate, and Fernando at the pool bar is the best. Everyone who works here is so lovely, and are so genuinely interested in making sure we have a wonderful time.

    Beautiful Resort

I can not say enough about this resort. We stayed in the Grand Club section. It is well worth the small extra cost. It includes premium drinks, separate food and a separate pool. So nice to not have to worry about getting a chair at the pool. The resort is beautiful. Landscaped so nice. Several pools. A great swim up bar and restaurants surrounding the pools. The restaurants are nice but beware some have a premium section that is not included in your "all-inclusive" but there are many options that are included. The staff is amazing. Everyone greets you with a smile and is very helpful. The spa is wonderful as well.

    Do better Grand Fiesta

This hotel needs to make some major changes. I always take into consideration that service people do have to deal with a lot because I too used to work in the service industry, but the lack of accommodation and customer service are clearly things that are an issue here. We’ve traveled many times to Mexico and even when the hotels weren’t as nice, their customer service always made us feel welcome. This was not the case here at Grand Fiesta. Everyone from the bartenders, servers, hosts, cart guys.. all were dismissive and almost bothered at having to do their job or show a little courtesy in the least. I felt like an inconvenience whether it was asking for a drink, or a table (which most nights was an hour to 1.5 hour wait no matter what time we got there). We repeatedly got a nasty attitude from Erick, one of the guys working the beach. On one of the days, there was a group, mostly kids, in the water who were having a good time and another elderly woman-who to be honest seemed a little racist-got bothered by seeing people having fun.. started yelling at the group, kicked a fish into the water, and then proceeded to get the worker Erick involved to shut the gathering down. I didn’t see any mediation or getting that family’s side of what happened.. absolutely appalling! After witnessing the way he treated myself and our group, and those other guests, I felt inclined to write this review because this type of behavior shouldn’t happen at any resort, especially one that claims to be 5 star. Cabo is very beautiful but there are plenty of other hotels to give business to. We wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

    RUDE Service

My stay here was mixed, and I would not return. I was recently there for a large family wedding, and that was truly a well organized and executed highlight. For everything else, I would give a generally failing grade. As a point of reference, my wife and I travel to Mexico resorts once or twice per year for the past 12 years. I will start with the one positive, outside of the wedding activities. The Ocean View Family Suite room was very nice with 2 beds/2.5 baths and a full kitchen/living area. Unfortunately, the bedroom curtains were not installed correctly, and the early morning sun still streamed in. We kept our do not disturb hangtag on the door throughout, but housekeeping still came in during our visit. Now, the negatives. Overwhelmingly (not all, but a majority), the staff was rude and discourteous. When this happens, you know it is a top-down directive. From the check-in staff to the Pennisula, La Cevicheria, and The Grill staffs, to the Lobby Bar staff to the Beach Concierge, I witnessed, experienced, and heard stories of rude service and interactions. The wedding had 200 people attending, and the general (again, non-wedding activity) service at the property was the overarching talk. The restaurant service was slow and food mediocre (except La Cevicheria, where food was the best on the property and quick, but an amazingly rude hostess to my 11-year-old niece). Other issues, the only coffee shop is a Starbucks that is not included (such a weird choice), you have to take golf carts to and from your room, past a distinct sewage smell, so you're on the staff's schedule, and there is a stream of indeterminate water cutting through the beach to the sea (hopefully not related to the aforementioned sewage smell). There are so many resort options out there. Choose a different one.

    Exceptional Experience

Another fantastic holiday! The staff makes this resort great every time we visit. Perla, who now works activities, goes above and beyond and really is part of our family. Our son especially looks forward to spending time with her. Jose, Cruz and Roberto from the breakfast buffet are also close to us. We really enjoy the attention they pay us and the time they spend learning what is new with us and updating us on what is new with them. Bryan from the members pool was exceptional as always and lastly, Antonio, the concierge was personable and always available to offer his assistance with anything we desired. Even the golf cart driver, can't remember his name, remembers us and makes us feel welcome every visit.
