no beach, hazardous - just no.
This hotel needs their reviews reset to "when they lost their beach" - it's not just that the beach is missing, it's the condition of the hotel, the rebar and concrete in the water, and the total dishonesty in letting customers know only AFTER the cancellation grace period has passed. They need a full remodel of rooms (hello 70s?) and I can't believe their insurance company is allowing them to be open with so many hazards on their patio/beach area. Cancel your reservation and stay elsewhere. The staff was wonderful (except for the ever-grumpy towel people) - hopefully they find jobs at a better hotel!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY
The stay was nice and we had a good family vacation at this hotel. Most of the staff(the bell men, the restaurant staff, the housekeeping staff, the pool guys and ladies) are very polite and friendly. *Our complaint is about the booking versus the room they actually gave us. I booked a balcony oceanfront room back in February 2022 and I checked in one day ahead of my reservation online. However, we found out the room DOES NOT have a balcony as their website pictures show, which is disappointing and unexpected. I was pretty upset originally about their dishonesty and fake advertisements/pictures. We checked in the hotel in the afternoon July 1st. The front desk girl with the white dress who barely speaks English was not very helpful in sorting out the problems. She even smirked when she saw us frustrated which is passive aggressive and unprofessional. Also, if you have little kids and plan for more beach/sand playing fun time, this hotel maybe not your best choice due to the very small beach. There is literally no beach due to the water erosion unfortunately.

Top notch!
We spent one night at a different hotel, which was nice, but not what we really wanted. We found what we really wanted at the Marriott resort. Carlo and Rey were extremely helpful, accommodating and positive when we were having trouble making the reservation through the website. The grounds of the hotel were quite beautiful and there was complimentary use of kayaks, bicycles, snorkeling equipment etc. Everyone who worked there was consistently friendly - and really seemed to mean it, not just trained to act friendly. We enjoyed our interactions with Teresa and Ruth at one of their restaurants. Also, at their Veranda restaurant the first night we were there, the waiter Michael was great, making great menu suggestions and being a friendly positive person. Overall, we felt very welcomed and comfortable there and would without a doubt love to return. Thanks again to Carlo and Rey for making it all work out and getting us off to a great start!

Never Disappoints
We have been visiting this resort annually since 2015. (only missing out '21-'22 due to covid travel restrictions.) We are repeat visitors to this resort because we know the team there will take care of us. They do everything possible to ensure a terrific stay. I could brag and brag but I will keep this brief. -The entire property is clean and inviting. Rooms are modest, comfortable and extremely clean. We have NEVER had any issues with the cleanliness of our room during any of our stays. -ALL the restaurants serve amazing food. We love the breakfast. And the "grab-n- go" station has very yummy offerings if you are on the go. -The pool area is well-maintained and all the teammates in that area are ready to help with anything you might need from an umbrella adjustment to ordering drinks and food. -Mother Nature has completely taken the beach in front of this resort and several other properties along Seven Mile Beach. You can still get in the ocean at this property. The Marriott has secured a beautiful private beach that is just a short 10 minute shuttle ride from the property. They have teammates waiting for your arrival at the private beach offering lounge chairs, umbrellas, bottled/canned beverages, and some grab-n-go food choices. -All members of the Marriott team that crossed our path on this recent trip were kind and accommodating, but I have to give a few shout outs for outstanding customer service: Will - Front Desk Ara - Vista Beach Bar Mirna - Breakfast at A & D Brian and Conrad - Pool Service Juanita - Crafts and Ice Cream Thanks again, Marriott Beach House, for another memorable vacation! We'll see you next year!
