It's the people that set this paradise above everything else
This was my first trip as a member and wow, it was fantastic! Getting picked up at the airport relieved so much stress, especially since travelling with kids. The resort is so nice and every little thing that could come up was anticipated and already remedied. The food is great, the gigantic pool fun and not overcrowded. I could go on and on about aqua nick, the cenotes and all the other adventures we did. But, truly the vacation was made because of the people who work there. We had Luna and Luiz helping us with dinner reservations, finding a coconut for my son, making sure everything we could need was taken care of. They have another woman there, Sharon, who was not "assigned" to us, but I just started asking her about the daily activities and she just went well above and beyond to help us out. Turns out she works in the kids playhouse and all the kids love her. Next time we go, I will be looking for these people. I can go on and on about how amazing this place is, but you don't really want to read all of it. If you have kids and you're going to the riviera Maya, then go here. If you become a member, please tell them I sent you!

We loved our stay!
We just spent two weeks at Generations and going to restaurants and entertainment at El Doardo Royale and Casitas. We always return to Generations because of the fabulous staff. Starting with management with Lucia, Bernice and Fabiola at the helm, they are great leaders for the rest of their staff. Nelly is our members leader and always very helpful. We loved the team of butlers and were fortunate to have Imelda, Israel and Diego as our team this trip. Ana, Luiz and Eddy also helped us as needed. This special group of people are like family to us. We received outstanding service at Chefs Market from Ivan, who will soon retire and be sorely missed by many. Mari and Aimee are great hostesses, Juan Carlos and Israel were excellent servers at Palms, and Elena and Brayan were our favorites at Chefs Market. Daniel was our excellent server at Jade and at the fiesta. We loved seeing Lourdes at Wine Kitchen and Chef Julio fixed us an excellent dinner. The entertainment team of Claudia, Paty and Emanuel are extraordinaire. I loved their aquatic classes! Marta and Erbie kept us hydrated around the pool and Alberto and Emizael tended to our needs at the beach. Marta kept our room cleaned and Julian and Enrique were very efficient bellmen. Ivan restocked our mini fridge daily with our requests…..waters! Although we stay at Generations, we are still able to go to the adjoining adults only resorts El Doardo Royale and Casitas. Our favorite dinners were at Santa Fe with Chef Paco, Yvan, Leydi and Alex as servers, and Alma as the “captain,” at Rincon with Chef Ana and servers Hilario and Deysi, Kampai with Chef Montree, and Fuentes with Head Sommelier Edgar, Chef Eduardo and hostess Majo, and Guillermo, Jesus, and Noriberto as servers. We were also fortunate to attend the wine and chocolate pairing with Sommelier Ricardo teaching us about the wines. Sommelier Fabiola is also so knowledgeable about the wines. The group of sommeliers are also doing a great job teaching the newest member of their team, Omar. Our favorite music for dancing after dinner was played by Cygnus, JuanRas and Happy Band. We enjoyed the jazz music played by Black Cow Band, but we did not care for their hard rock music. We also didn’t care for the Elite Band. Compared to the other bands, they need a lot of refining.

Rocky beach . Don’t come if you are a beach family
If you are a beach person and like to go in the water don’t come here. I know you will think I am exaggerating but I am not. I have only been here a couple of hours and would like to leave. I honestly don’t know what my teenage son who loves to snorkel is going to do . We are going to have to plan excursions (which we’re not planning on ) . I know I sound like I am being overly dramatic but I am not. I can’t imagine how my week is going to be. Not at all like I planned. Terribly disappointed on day 1.

Disappointed
We arrived and our room was not ready, which we expected. Once it was ready, at 3pm, we waited for over an jour for our bags. Once we called to say they weren't there, they were sent quickly. The rooms are spacious beds comfortable, good bathroom, however dark. We opted for a swimout, which looked nice but it was cold. All of the pools were too cold to enjoy. There was water aerobics/water zumba posted every other day, however it never took place. I'd wait at the pool, no announcement, no excitement at all. Very disappointing! There is no music playing, nothing happens. This was the most boring resort we've ever visited, hands down! If you don't have children with you, you can visit the El Dorado, where they have a band at 8-9;40, then entertainment at 10. This was enjoyable. They also have a few bars with people! The bar at Generations usually had 0 to 4 people in it. There us no " lobby bar". The beach was another huge disappointment. There are cement barriers dropped all along the whole resorts, it's rocky and not very swimmable. The beach itself it kept clean. The food, well I have to say much better than most resorts. Generations, again very limited, but the a la carte restaurants were pretty good. Some great servers, Alberto (takes care of the privileged area on the beach), very nice guy. He brought us drinks a few times. Thus was the only time we were ever offered a drink on the beach ir at the pool. Zero service other than Albert. Jeremias in the buffet was very personable and attentive. Good often cold. Our stay was with Air Canada vacations. The pick ip and drop off was excellent, we had great service. Our complaint is geared towards the resort. Our flight was a late one and therefore pu was at 7pm. There was no hospitality room although the place appeared to be nowhere close to capacity. They charged us ,$20.00 US pr hour to keep our room until 5, then said we had to check out. They said if we ate at the resort, we'd have to pay for another night! Wow, really poor service we don't make the times for flights or pick up, so rude service. This was so disappointing, definitely not close to a 5 star as advertised.

Of the best trips I've ever had
The excellent hotel 👌 all perfect, I am surprised by the friendliness of all the staff, especially Raymundo valencia, helped me all my stay with my reservations clarifying doubts and supporting me at all times It should be noted that in the hotel there is always food and drink available that is not in any hotel 24 hours The rooms very nice and huge of course I would return
